I stayed in the hotel in the end of September 2006 while traveling on business.
The hotel is located in the new business district of Seoul, it is a part of a huge complex comprising, among others, COEX convention center, World Trade Centre, enormous COEX shopping mall, Hyundai department store and another (Grand) Intercontinental hotel. This means that the hotel is quite far away from the historic centre of Seoul (40 minutes by metro). The metro stop itself is 10 minutes walking from the hotel (on the other side of the block, near Grand Intercontinental)
The hotel provides a high quality, modern accommodation, but completely lacks atmosphere, the lobby feels like a convention centre or an airport.
My twin room was on the 15th floor, quite spacious with a big bathroom and a convenient bed. Everything was in good order, but the bathroom fittings (in the room and in the hotel in general) seemed old fashioned by North European standards (they were not old!).
For me the highlight of the stay was a fitness centre which guests can use free of charge. This is not a crowded gym found in many hotels, but a full-fledged fitness centre with a spacious gym, 25 meters swimming pool, sauna, golf green, cafe, sitting room with a computer for free Internet access, etc. The gym is perfectly equipped, mostly with Cybex-branded machines. At the fitness centre reception they even provide (for free) clothes for the gym - shorts, trainers and a T-shirt.
Breakfast is very good, with plenty of fruits at hot dished, the only deficiency being lack of healthy meat or fish dishes - all such dishes on offer were either fried or grilled with oil.
Hotel personnel was fantastic and could not be more helpful.
The hotel is pricey (corporate rate for my stay was 210000 won, breakfast included) and I would not stay there for my own money. If your company pays for your stay, Grand Intercontinental nearby is probably more pleasant (also much closer to the metro station) but also even more pricey.
