We stayed here for a week in July while completing the adoption of our son. We rented a three-bedroom suite. It was spacious, clean and the kitchen was well-appointed with dishes, pots, pans, silverware and a toaster and microwave. The unit had a small washer/dryer, which was nice. Word of caution: the drying function rarely left our clothes bone dry. But the unit included a convenient drying rack to finish the job. Beds were a bit stiff, as they seem to be in Korea. The furniture was comfortable, attractive and utilitarian and the bathrooms were clean and modern, including separate western-style enclosed stall showers. There were televisions in the main living area and the larger of the three bedrooms offering a variety of U.S. Austrailian, European, Korean and Arabic programming. The room showed a few signs of wear, and the bathroom had a slight musky smell, but overall it was a very nice, comfortable place to stay. The hotel's Insadong neighborhood is a great location, full of galleries and stores on nearby Insadong street and short walk to most of the major subway lines and the city's largest palace. The hotel has a nice pool, welcoming lobby and a small padded kids playroom that we got a lot of use out of. It offers a good buffet breakfast each morning with lots of variety, including fresh fruit, breakfast entrees and cereal and pastries. Its a bit pricey though at about $20 U.S. There are a variety of coffee bars nearby including The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on the backside of the hotel. There are also plenty of local food and western fast food and pizza outlets nearby. What really made our stay was the front desk staff. They were terrific, facilitating our various forays into the city with advice, directions and helpful cards we could use to communicate with cab drivers. The desk staff and concierge spoke excellent English and were friendly and accommodating at all hours.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor for the views and relief from street noise.

I stayed in this aparthotel for three months, so I got the chance to experience the comfort and service in different ways...

Let's start with POSITIVES:
- Location: nice area, Insadong, shops, restaurants, bars... Jongno3-ga metrostation with 3 lines
- Bed: amazing and comfortable... You will have a good rest!
- Reception and housekeeping and restaurant staff: nice and kind people. They are not able do everything what you need, but what they can, they do it nice
- Bathroom: bathtube is nice and you have even separate showercube
- All you need: all equipment is available: fridge, washingmachine, sofa, TV, equiped kitchen
- Gym & sauna: new runningmachines, and nice sauna (whirpool did not work all the time).

In general is it a nice hotel for long stay, but also here are some NEGATIVES:

- Breakfast: very limited and not always fresh. You could see and taste that is not fresh... So if not included, do not bother to pay extra.

- WiFi: very bad connection (speed has been increased on demand), and limited for one device only (extra device 40000krw/month). Who is now having only one device?? Even for Egg is there poor reception.

- Noisy: you could here your neighbours flushing the toillet and running water to the bath. In the evening you can here people from outside.

- Elevator: neverending waiting until your elevator will come. I guess this is general for Korea.

Well, it's up to you what is your priority, but because I was away from Europe and wanted to keep in touch with my family, I would less invest into the carpets and more in WiFi connection! We are in 21st century. Enjoy your stay!

Stay here for your next trip to Seoul! Close to all the good places with a 7-11 on the corner for all your supplies (alcohol included). Staff are lovely and service the self-contained apartments. Good for short or long stay. Will stay here again.

Room Tip: We got a 3 bedroom. The beds were 1 room with king and the other two were singles beds. So beware if...

We stayed at the pentaz classic 500 in a different part of seoul for first half of trip... bitter transition. Very dated, hallways had dingy carpet and stained walls. one of our bathrooms had a distinct horrible smell, we couldn't use it. rug in family room was old and decrepit, the fabric couches had divets in them from prolonged use especially in center. We got upgraded to the 3 bedroom suite instead of the 2 bedroom suite but they charged us $60 per person per night extra for anyone above 2 people staying there. it was really tacky. I've stayed at many other accommodations in my lifetime but this was a first. so I was charged extra $180 a night for 6 nights for my kids under age 10. I should have taken more pictures but we just really tried to stay out of our rooms most of the time. location was ok but in hot weather, really not ideal as subway station is a big 2-3 blocks away. streets are not parallel so always getting lost going to the different subway entrances. have to transfer 2-3 times to get to the popular dongdaemun, namdaemun, express subway station, seoul station. only thing that is close is the craft and touristy shops in area and the big temple museum a short cab ride away. would not recommend staying here...

Room Tip: ugh. expect a motel type experience and you won't be disappointed
