“Good Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2012

I stayed in this hotel only one night, so really didn't have the chance to experience everything it (might) has to offer, but my general impression was good. The room was nice and roomy, modern, good ammenities, etc. Good comfortable bed and an interesting "open" bathroom concept - which could be closed off with sliding doors. All in all - it served its purpose quite adequately.

A nice hotel, excellent rooms, all mod cons, excellent service. Location is far from central, hourly shuttle buses connect you to downtown which is 20 minutes or about $12 USD in a cab.

Prices are high by Korean standards, but a safe choice for a good nights sleep and nice atmosphere.

I mistakenly booked this hotel as there are two hiltons in Seoul. The other hilton (Millenium) is more central. There really isn't much going on around the Grand Hilton, so you will need to take the shuttle or a taxi to go anywhere. The executive rooms were some of the best I've stayed in with Hilton - just renovated and extremely modern in design with every possible extra you can think of. Very good executive lounge too. The facilities are good as it has a conference center attached to it - swimming pool / gym was huge and really well kept. Service was also excellent. For me what let it down slightly was the food - the buffet was pretty uninspiring. I did not try the Japanese and Chinese restaurants but I am sure they would have been far better than the buffet restaurant.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel on April 30, 2012. The service was impeccable! Our room was readily available, along with the extra pillows that we had requested online.
We had a wonderful early dinner at The Atrium Café - I had the bacon wrapped beef medallions and they were prepared perfectly.
Our room was one of the newly renovated ones, and overlooked the base of Mount Baekryun.
Admittedly, it is not centrally located, however, if you are requiring a room for one night and some relaxation, this hotel is perfect!
The concierge was very accomodating in making our arrangements to get to the airport.
I do not have one negative comment to make about this hotel.

To make a long story short. It's not really centrally located, you will have to take the complimentary shuttle bus or a taxi to get anywhere near downtown Seoul. Good news there just finishing renovation of the rooms and there quite nice. There are two color shemes light and dark. I prefer the lighter one personally. I didn't like that there was no where in the hotel free wifi, actually the hotel doesn't provide wifi at all just a cable on your desk?!?!? The Gym is always closed when the jet lagged travel is fit and wants to go. I asked about a million times to change the gum access to a 24 hour card access but nothing. If you get up at 3 a.m in the morning and want to order breakfast in your room, it's not possible. Basically an okay place which is not really well focused on the international traveller.

I have stayed in the Hilton hotel chain in different countries but the stay in Seoul was the worst. Really, what got me to write this review was this: I had reserved for a few nights and at check-in, I paid for the first half of my bill. Right now, I am beginning my third night. I tried right now to order food from room service but was denied as I had not paid for the next two nights. Really, such a high profile hotel should give their customers the benefit of the doubt (besides the fact that they have my credit card information).

Stayed at the newly renovated executive floor. Overall, hotel itself is good, service is recommedable. However, the location is really way off. Its in the middle of nowhere with no restaurants within walking distance. I am in korea for a business trip, so really it doesnt matter. However, if you are here on leisure, then probably would not want to choose this hotel. location is far from Myeong Dong, the shopping area and also from MRT station.
