“Good basic hotel”
Reviewed 26 May 2014 via mobile

Stayed one night on business. Price and location were best selling points. Room was dated but clean and spacious. Bathroom with tub. Flat screen tv and fridge in room. Bring your own shampoo. A/C was on but not very cool. Bed was comfotable- firm but not a board.
Hotel has one very tiny elevator so wait is long during rush hour. Good bargain and close to 2 metro stations.

My regulas hotel was booked.
Hotel has small rooms but very clean.Staff were great

The night of my stay i went to roam around the area and found a quaint little pub called BREW 3.14. The owner is French and the chef too. Pizza was fantastic and the IPA beer was tasty. I stayed until later that night. A must see.

I came on May'12 with group of 37 peoples which use 18 Rooms. Our bus can't stop infront of the hotel so we have to walk & carry our lugguage bit far which is uncomfortable situation for family with senior citizen & children. The worst is there's only 1 Small Lift / Elevator which run very slow so we have to wait almost 1 hour till everybody able to reach to their room with the lugguages.
Room consider small so we have to open the suitecase on the bed but room clean even its old. Breakfast is quite good with choices of local & western food.

It is well situated to visit Insadong. There was old carpet on the floor of our double room quite small and in day time we felt cold. No breakfast included. The restaurant on the firt floor was not heated. It seems to be overpriced. The Doulos Hotel for less money is much much better.
If you book at this hotel a twin room would be better because there is no carpet on the floor and the room is much bigger but also more expensive.

Awesome location--walking distance to a number of tourist sites, super close to Anguk station and plenty of places to eat and drink close by. The hotel is somewhat older. Definitely a budget hotel. The distinction between smoking and non-smoking room is muddy but our room was fine though we are non-smokers.

Staff spoke Japanese and English. (Better Japanese than English which was fine with us.) Cleaning staff are prompt and efficient. The hotel breakfast buffet is simple and reasonable.

It can be hard to find initially. Go left towards the gas station when you get off the airport bus. Hang a right when you get to Anguk station and the orange gas station. Go until you can't go without crossing through or under a building. Cross the street and the hotel is on the left side in the wide alley.

I stayed here earlier this year largely because of positive reviews from this website. This was not my first trip to Seoul. It was was, in fact, my 8th. My regular hotel was sold-out, so I tried the Crown. Probably never again. No, it's not a bad place. It's just over-priced. The rooms are teeny -weeny, even by Seoul standards, and the (albeit clean) bathrooms are very dated. They claim to have in-room safes but this is not the case. Nor are there irons, as claimed. And at these prices there really should be in-room LAN or Wifi. The front desk staff are, however, very friendly and there is that free "American Style" breakfast...these always make me laugh. Fried eggs, bacon, ham, fried spam, french fries with salad or pickles or sometimes even kumquats. Don't get me wrong, I love Korea. I just don't know where they got the idea that we eat the contents of a fryolator every morning. The location is good, but there are lots of hotels and motels nearby. Stay here if everything else is sold out.
