The hotel is very well located, take bus 6020 to the hotel, it will cost you 15.000 KRW and you can purchase that bus ticket at the airport, when returning to the airport the hotel can arrange it for all the same price, do not take the train / subway, it is very inconvenient. Booked the Executive Club Room, it was at level 20 / 21 floors, 21st floor is the SKYBAR. The Skybar is a wonderful place to gather with friends, good price for value. Executive Club members enjoy benefits such as complimentary breakfast / Internet / Happy Hour / Fitness-Center-Access / Sauna & Jacuzzi / Drink at the Cafe at the lobby and much more. It is very modern and state of the art, it is more for the younger generation, stayed at the Hilton & Ritz Carlton but strongly believe that those hotels are for people 50+ and when doing work-out or heading into a sauna I would like to gather around with people below that age-group. Also what I liked about the Mercure Ambassador Seoul: not only it's central location, but the people who actually make the environment. There is a Starbucks near the hotel, don't go to that one, full of old people and not fun at all, if you would like to make new friends and socialize get to Gangnam station, there are plenty of coffee-shop-atmospheres. Will stay at the Mercure Ambassador Seoul again, but there are also some disadvantages about the fitness center & shower facilities: the towels are too small, after shower you can hardly dry your body and you may need to take 4-5 towels at one time, which is def not economical, they should offer bigger towels. At the shower-area, there is no place to hang your towel, so I thought about hanging it around my neck, but than: how to take a shower? The fitness machines are very annoying: it is not possible to place your phone / water / towel anywhere and in case you are in the middle of the work-out and feel thirsty / feel like being in the need of a towel and you press the the "Pause" button the whole work-out-summary will disappear and you have to start again from 0. Will stay there again, great price for value, booked it through my Emirates National Bank of Dubai Credit Card. Personally I rather prefer Carlson Group, but there is no Carlson Rezidor Hotel in South Korea yet, so Accor SA (French brand) is also a good choice. Breakfast was pretty good, even had salmon fish, a lot of healthy stuff, everybody very friendly and supportive. It is suitable for business, couples, families, friends and solo as well. The only thing I don't like about Mercure Hotels is Roger Mair.
