They have a great location. Walking distance to the train and several other attractions. I would stay again if in the area. In fact a friend recommended it this guest house. The free breakfast was also a nice touch here.
When I was trawling through the trillions of guesthouses that exist in Myeongdong, Soo Guesthouse stood out immediately to me because of the cute decor.
After staying there for 4 nights, I can say that I wasn't disappointed - not by the decor, or by anything else!
Yes, it's super-super-cute, but it's also incredibly clean (both the room itself and the ensuite bathroom) and yet really really homely. There aren't a great many rooms, so it feels just like you're staying at home - particularly when you can come down and get breakfast in the morning, provided by the host.
The host was very helpful and so friendly - helping with my luggage, scanning and printing things, giving me a face mask to help me look half-decent after a long night exploring Seoul, and even waking up to give me back my passport as I ran out the door to the DMZ Tour early one morning.
Just make sure you bring a wheelie travel bag, as you will have to hike up a hill a little from Myeongdong Station, but I'm sure the host will help you with it on the way down!
Soo Guesthouse is perfectly located a couple of minutes walk up the hill towards N Seoul Tower from Myeongdong Station and at the heart of a shopping paradise - you won't regret staying here. Just make sure you are very clear about the exit to take from the subway (Number 3) and know where you're going when you set out to find the Guesthouse itself - you underestimate the number of guesthouses there actually are in the area!!

This place is really beautiful, clean and quiet. It is also has a great location :) Love this place:) The host is very nice and waited for us and we could store our luggage there after the check out because of our late flight.
Friendly & helpful owner, fair command of English; Excellent location :- minutes away from the MyeongDong station and the woman's-world-of-cosmetics! You can easily find cabs at exits of the station. There are 3 convenient stores along the way as you walk home from the nearest exit.The room is outstandingly CLEAN. Can't ask more than to have a clean room.
Towels are tiny, but we're given several. Better, if we could be change them regularly.
Room downstairs:- The 1 and only window faces a gym next door. Due to the inconvenience, we couldn't leave it open all day. Therefore, we requested for the air-conditioner to be switched on for a better ventilation as it could get really hot and stuffy during the afternoon. Grateful that he's willing to give us the remote control.
Only concern: If you're having large size luggage and planning to end your stay here, the room is indeed small with limited space for you to comfortably open up your luggage.
Soo guesthouse was a really nice place to stay at! it is located next to myeong-dong metro station therefore close to public transport and Seoul's shopping district and night markets. The host was really thoughtful, nice and sweet. He does provide simple breakfast which consisted of orange juice, toast, jam and cream cheese. Soo is extremely clean and cozy and the price is very reasonable. I would suggest it to anyone travelling to Seoul.
