My friends and I chose to stay in Suitcasers after reading all the good reviews. Personally this is the first time I'll be staying in a backpackers hotel in any of my travels. I was not disappointed. The hotel was clean, well maintained, surrounded by places to eat, and very close to the airport shuttle and the City Hall subway station. The hotel provided a huge LCD TV in the room, a desktop computer, super fast free WIFI, hairdryer, toiletries and towels. They cleaned the bathroom everyday and changed the towels too. They also provide other stuff free upon request (iron, toothbrush, curling/flat hair iron, etc.) On the fourth floor was the kitchen and laundry area. They provided daily breakfast of brewed coffee, orange juice, tea, milk, toast jam and peanut butter. They have a microwave and a stove where you can cook stuff you buy at the nearby G25 convenience store. You can also do your laundry there for free with their washer and dryer.

I think the biggest plus of the hotel is their excellent and friendly staff. We were welcomed quite warmly. We were asked if we needed help or had any questions about going around Seoul. They also gave us coupons for the airport shuttle even without us asking.

We missed the Wednesday barbecue night, though. It would have been fun to join that and meet new people.

I will recommend Suitcasers to my friends who will visit Seoul on a budget. Good location, excellent and friendly staff, cozy ambience, complete amenities plus more.

The room is not so big but it's pretty clean and tidy, TV and computer are available in your room! And also they do provided free international call to certain country! The staffs are so friendly and keen to help!

we were quite happy when checking in. the location is quite good, nearby street food and restaurant. the room is small, with a double bed tuck exactly into two walls. You can only get on the bed from one side. The LCD TV is consider quite huge for a small room, maybe because it's cheap in Korea :). The bathroom and shower facilities is good.
BUT... we can hardly sleep whole night due to the noise from above and next door. We have to wake up by 5am to catch our transport to ski resort. Apparently the guest next door and above are packing up for their early departure thus creating the noises of people trampling on the floor for above unit and loud talking sound from next door. There is totally no sound proof at all. we are suppose to stay for 3 nights but we left on the second day after coming back from ski resort, forfeiting the rest of the night stay. We managed to secure a better hotel (not guesthouse) nearby. The receptionist didn't know that is wasn't our stay due date but then chasing after us on road after we left and asked us what happened that we checkout prematurely.... we told her the situation and she kept apologizing. Few days later, we received an email of apology from the management and they refunded the whole booking to us including the one night stay. Maybe it was us that have not stay in a guesthouse before and we should have anticipate such noises.

Room Tip: Try to ask for the highest floor so you won't be bother by the walking noise from the unit above...

Suitcasers is only within 10 minutes walk to Myeong dong. There are alot of restaurants nearby, with some even open for 24 hours. The triplet room is big with both TV and computer available. The bathroom is also spacious and clean. The staff are very helpful. I'll definitely stay there again for my next trip.

Hotels are generally expensive in Seoul & we were having difficulties finding reasonably affordable hotel near to Subway. Imagine our pleasant surprise when we somehow came across Suitcasers Hostel.

Having stayed for a total of 6 nites @ Suitcasers Hostel, I would rather say it is more like a budget hotel than a hostel. The staff were attentive & friendly, they will try their best to answer your queries. All of them can converse in English & Mandarin.

While the bed sheets & pillow cases were not changed on daily basis, the towels will be replaced daily. The room might be abit small so I don't think it would be comfortable for family with young kids.

Breakfast is a simple affair with bread & cereal. We didn't have it on daily because there were couple of days when we had to go out very early (breakfast starts from 8.30am).

Wifi is good & reliable. There is a PC available in the room as well.

Location wise, it is less than 10 min of walking distance from Cityhall Subway Station (Exit 7). You can easily walk to Myeongdong & Namdaemon Market. On arrival, we took AREX then subway at Seoul station to Cityhall station. Going back we used the airport bus though. The former route is the cheapest but travelling at peak hour can be very challenging. While the latter is more expensive though more convenient (note we had to wait for more than 40min for the bus because it was packed).

Overall we don't mind coming back to Suitcasers in future, if they can maintain its service & price.

Room Tip: Its better to ask for higher level room (Level 2 to Level 4) because rooms at level 1 will be too no...
