“Nice hotel”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

Just stayed 5 nights in the hotel since last week. Good location as it is not located in a noisy street but you may walk to nearby famous shopping area of Myungdong and Namdaemum within 15 minutes. Front desk staff are pleasant and helpful, they can speak fluent English and give useful information for my inquiry. Room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The feather pillow is too soft and the hard (bead) pillow is over hard. If supply of foam pillow is much better. Will stay again and recommend to friends.

Room Tip: Higher level of floor

Loved the location for its proximity to Myeungdong as well as easy access to little cafes nearby. It is also situated at a rather quiet area and the airport bus stops right in front of the entrance!!
The front desk reception staff were all fluent in English and very helpful with directions. Room was clean and beds were extremely comfy. Why the "but" then? I have trouble sleeping even with the slightest light or noise. It was very quiet so that was good, BUT the aircon on the ceiling had a very annoying bright blue light that lit the whole room up all night! and because it was so high up I could not do anything about it. The breakfast was also just so-so, you could do better at one of the cafes nearby if your room did not come with breakfast included. Overall I would still recommend this hotel, hopefully they will do something about that bright blue light!

This was our base for a five night stay in Seoul. We had a spacious double room with a sofa and kitchenette. The room was clean and bright and housekeeping was terrific. As others have mentioned, the location is wonderful -many sights are within a short walk and the metro station is also not far away. However, I am a bit surprised about the rave reviews for breakfast-at W 17,000, it seemed quite pricey for a breakfast buffet although it did include some hot options such as omelets, sausages, and vegetables. With Namdeamun market so close (as well as convenience stores and even a Dunkin' Donuts!) and since the rooms have a kitchenette-there are less expensive options readily available.

I arrived at the hotel very early in the morning due to early morning flight. However, the room was not ready at that time. When I came back in the afternoon, they had my room upgraded. I was very impressive and appreciated for their very kind offering. Perhaps this was a compliment from them due to room unavailability upon my arrival. The room is huge with a kitchen, a living room etc and it's very comfortable, nice and clean. The location is very convenient, especially close to Namdaemun market, it's walkable distance ie 10-15 mins to Myeongdong. I will definitely stay with the hotel during my next visit to Seoul.

Room Tip: One shortfall, the soundproof is not that good since you can hear traffic on the street. In general...

Now our fave place to stay in Seoul would have to be FPN. It's close proximity to the Namdaemun
Market which is our favorite haunt makes it an obvious choice since it's just a few minutes' walk.
The suite was big & spacious, has a well equiped kitchen even with our fave coffee machine dolce gusto. So tastefully designed that we felt so at home. The staff is warm and always smiling as we exhange bows and pleasantries. With a good command of English they are ever so ready to help and comply to our requests and queries. The rooftop bar has a stunning view of Namsan Tower in the distance. NPN is also within walking distance to alot of other attractions eg Cheongye Cheon Stream, King Sejong Monument, we even managed to watch the changing of the guards at one of the palaces nearby. Myeongdong which is a mecca of great shopping & food is also within walking distant. It was very convenient when we had to go to Seoul Station to catch the KTX to Busan.
Upon our return we stayed again at FPN. We hope to top our 18 days vacation next year.
We love the warmth and kindness that has been extended to us. There's still so much to see and explore and we'd definitely be back for more! Saranghaeyo!

We ended up at the wrong Fraser Place from the airport. But they were so nice there too. They took us to the right property about 5 minutes away in their car. The only thing I found unusual was that in order to have lights and power, not only must you insert the key card into the slot near the door, it must be the exact same key card you just used to open the door. So even if you have 2 cards, only one will activate the lights and power. Thank you Matthew for your personalized help figuring this out and for helping us to get our bags across the street. You made us feel like honored guests.

It was our first time to Seoul and we glad we chose Fraser Place Namdaemun.

We stayed at Panorama Deluxe Double Room and it comes with breakfast for one, but during check in, we're delighted that we are given for two.

Our room is spacious and clean. The Free WIFI connection is good and fast.

We enjoyed the breakfast, especially the kimchi.

From fraser place, we walked to almost all of the attractions.
There are many options of coffee shops within that area too.

In all, we recommend Fraser Place Namdaemun to others too.
