Stayed here for 2 nights during the 2012 presidential election. Security surrounding the area was very tight, as the hotel is just next to President Lee Myung-Bak's office. It got quite noisy as the polls were being counted, but hey, what an experience to join in a piece of history.
Overall, a quite pleasant stay, but could not really say much as we were in the hotel room only at night to sleep, cos we were busy sightseeing during the day.

i stayed here for two nights in a double room on 8th floor. The room is provided with a large bathroom. The air condition is provided eventhough it was winter. It quite near with KBS by a walking distance of 15-20 minutes, if you are lucky enough you might meet korean artist as well. Breakfast is quite good also. After 10pm , normally all the shops was close except for 7-11. The only thing is nothing much to shop near that area. But also worth having a walk nearby the hotel, for some great night time views of the city.

This is by no means a luxury hotel but for me it is perfect for my travel needs. There are double doors to the rooms (to leave your shoes) , big room, adequate bathroom, comfortable bed, free internet and free breakfast, staff who can communicate in English. Outside of the hotel you've got your Starbucks, 7-11, all other kind of restaurants. It is in an excellent location with a reasonable price. If I were to stay in a downtown hotel, it would have probably taken my associate another 30 minutes to get in and pick me up. Probably the only downside (as I wanted to monitor Typhoon Belovon) was cable TV was all Korean, Other than that everything was good.

I stayed here for 4 nights in a double room on the (top) 12th floor.

The room was reasonably large with nice furnishing and kept very clean. The room was very quiet. It was something of a heatwave in Seoul at the time, but the air conditioning in the room performed very well and was adjustable enough to stop the temperature dropping to freezing. The bathroom was lavish with whirlpool bath and steam cubicle.

Although my booking was for room only, I was invited to take breakfast which was nice. This was on the second floor and was a buffett type affair (pretty good for South Korea).

As stated in other reviews there were plenty of small restaurants, bars and convenience supermarkets in the surrounding few streets. Things at the weekend are much quieter however.

Top tip for finding:
Take line 9-exit 2. Walk initially towards the national assembly building ahead but take the next street to the right. After 150m, immediately before a petrol station with a yellow sign, turn right again. M hotel is 50m along this steet, on the right. (less complicated than it sounds-actually very close to National Assembly subway station). Note that taxi drivers and locals will be of little use in trying to find this place(I found this out the hard way!)

Also worth having a walk on to the bridge over the river, for some great night time views of the city.

I have stayed here now may be 5 or 6 times over the last few years and its great if you want something functional and well located in Seoul. I stay here when on business so spend very little time in the hotel other than sleeping and breakfast so not having lots of frills does not bother me at all. The rooms are always clean, the bed absolutley solid as a rock , the bathroom has a steamer in it and some a whirlpool type bath and breakfast is always ok....if not a bit traditional...rice and Kimchi but when in Korea.....
Have stayed plenty of times and will continue to as for a hotel in Seoul close to dozens upon dozens of restaurants then why not. Also there is a bar round the corner now Wabar....great place to go for a beer after a hard day and very reasonable if you drink the local draught beer.

I agree with the previous reviewers that this hotel is a great value for money.

* The Double room was spacious enough (about 30 m2), and it has a desktop connected to the internet, an air cleaner (when was the last time you saw that in a hotel room at any class!), mini fridge, sofa and cocktail table. The Queen size bed might be a little hard for some, but for me, coming from China where the beds are even harder, it was just fine.

* Good clean bathroom, separate shower, but poor lighting.

* Great service, fast check-in/check-out, and front desk staff speak good English.

* Right next to a 711, and plenty of restaurants and bars (Korean) in the immediate vicinity.

Now a few words, and an explanation, about the location. It is on Yeouido island, which for me is an advantage. IF this is your first time in Seoul, you probably want to stay closer to downtown in Jung-gu. But if you know Seoul a little, and you've already done the Seoul tours and historical sites, then this location is great.

The hotel itself is a 3-min walk from Line 9, which interestingly is the one from/to Gimpo airport. From Gimpo you can take the AREX to Incheon, total travel time probably about half compared to the bus stuck in traffic. Also, from Line 9 you can transfer to Line 5 at Yeouido station, which will bring you right downtown.

Yeouido island itself has things to do and see, and it's a favorite spot on weekends or week nights for the locals. Yeouido Park is nice, Hanggang Park is nicer with restaurants looking out to Namsan on the other side and the river. The Seoul (Hanggang) river cruises start from there (a 5 min taxi ride), and if you want 5-star dining with a view, try the top floor of the 63 Building (the tallest in Seoul).

DO NOT follow the subway directions on their website. Like others have said, take the Line 9 National Assembly stop and you will end up pretty close to the hotel.

That being said, overall the hotel was a good value. You get a huge room, tons of toiletries, very quiet atmosphere, underfloor heating, jetted bathtub, sauna controls in the shower, in-room computer with internet, and decent hot breakfast every morning. It's nice that the breakfast slightly changes every day as well.

The only downsides were the rock-hard beds and the fact that since the shower drains to the middle of the bathroom floor there is always a medium sized puddle of water that never really drains completely (or maybe the drain in my room was just partially clogged, but there was always standing water on the bathroom floor).
