We stayed in The Swiss Inn Hotel from 5 to 7 May 2012 and 14 May 2012. The following points summarise our experience:
No complimentary toiletries – soap dispenser only (this is not uncommon in Egypt).
No power in bathroom – problem if using electric shaver.
Can hear noises outside room – TVs, people walking by room, etc.
Very attentive staff.
Good size room.
View of pyramids in the distance from our room (this is not the same in most rooms - our room on the second stay did not have such a view)
Overlooks Cairo suburbia with a coptic church next door - the early morning 'call to prayer' just added to the experience.
Half an hour from the airport - on a quiet day.
In Egypt people are allowed to smoke indoors - so there was the smell of cigarette smoke in the rooms.
Complimentary fruit salad on arrival.
Security guard at front door.
Breakfast included in cost but was a relatively basic range.
Don’t depend on wake up calls – we did not receive two of the three requested.
Shower not dependable – could not get temperature to stay consistentw
Hope this helps!!More
