Dina's hostel is in a GREAT location, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The common areas are well-kept and welcoming; a great place to meet new people or get some work done. It's worth being aware that the beds aren't the most comfortable (the sheets, blanket, and towels are a bit on the scratchy side), and with no screens, the windows do welcome some mosquitos. However, this is true of most hostels in the downtown area as they are mostly inside old, colonial-era buildings. Breakfast is good (on Fridays Egyptian breakfast is served), and the hostel keeps bottled water for purchase in stock, and you can make tea/coffee throughout the day. Overall, a lovely environment that attracts cool people (visitors and local folks alike). Just keep in mind that it is a hostel, so you sacrifice a little comfort for affordability. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Room Tip: Ensuite rooms have A/C.

Dina's hostel is clean, efficiently run hostel in Downtown that is staffed by a great team and has a very friendly vibe. The staff work tirelessly to ensure that your stay is pleasant and that they can help in your travels.

The laundry service was great. It costs only E£3 per item and was ready for me by the end of the day. The drinks fridge was a lifesaver in the Egyptian heat.

My only issue with Dina's was that the tours were a little overpriced. This however has not impacted the scores given above. Mosquito netting on the windows would be appreciated too.

Situated in a nice location downtown. Rates are ok. The owner, Dina, is a friendly lady. She even provides the space for artists. A nice place for artists of different genre & countries to hook up. A small kitchen that the boarders can use for cooking small items , such as noodles etc and drinks as well. But remember the lift is very small and ONLY GOES UP!

Dina's hostel is good value for money if you are travelling in Cairo. It is located in a busy downtown street, in a neighborhood that is filled with clothing stores and cafés where a lot of locals shop and hang out.

The hostel is quite rudimentary, but also quite cheap. Breakfast is simple (a bit of cucumber, a boiled egg and bread + jam/cheese). My taxi had a bit of difficulty to find it (but it's part of the local act of the taxi drivers to try to confuse you and divert you to another hotel where they touch a commission for every tourist they bring there)

We stayed at Dina's for two night in late March. Everything you could hope for from an inner city Cairo hostel. The staff were really friendly and helpful, quick to sort the bathroom when we accidentally flooded it (take the plug out the floor drain before showering) and calling our airline to double check a flight that wasn't showing on the airport's departure list. Only thing to watch out for is if you have an early morning pick up or transfer, make sure you have a key for the street door. We found ourselves locked in at 5am in the morning. But again Dina's staff sorted it for us. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Well located, right in the heart of downtown Cairo. Only a 15 minute walk to the Egyptian Museum and 10 minutes to the Metro. Also lots of shops and restaurant located close by.

Friendly helpful, knowledgeable staff who are always willing to help.

Excellent tours to the Pyramids, Bahariya Oasis & White Desert.

Good clean rooms and bathrooms, comfortable common areas.

Very very clean. Huge high ceilings, french doors allow light and cool air at night, lovely wooden floors. Helpful staff, Dina is very knowledgable. Soap n towels provided. Entrance lift is broken so be sure to ask how to use other 2 lifts cause its on the 5th floor. I am a solo female backpacker. I stayed here on arrival to egypt and again on my return to cairo - i definitely recommend!
