Dina's Hostel in Cairo makes going to Cairo worth it, just to stay there. Loved the place. Very friendly staff, excellent accommodation. The area surrounding the hostel is very urban, progressive (for Egypt). Safe. The building is an architectural dream: high ceilings, French windows, hard wood floors, pristine, nicely decorated. Sometimes the staff was a little late in answering requests (such as bringing breakfast), but this is the Egyptian way. If you expect everything to be on time, you're in the wrong country. Finally, very affordable. I highly recommend it and I hope to return soon.

I stayed here several times over the two months I was in Egypt; the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms and facilities functional and clean, the location convenient and quiet (relatively speaking), and the price very reasonable. As a seemingly popular hostel, it was always full of interesting people to meet and hang out with.

Dina's hostel is in a GREAT location, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The common areas are well-kept and welcoming; a great place to meet new people or get some work done. It's worth being aware that the beds aren't the most comfortable (the sheets, blanket, and towels are a bit on the scratchy side), and with no screens, the windows do welcome some mosquitos. However, this is true of most hostels in the downtown area as they are mostly inside old, colonial-era buildings. Breakfast is good (on Fridays Egyptian breakfast is served), and the hostel keeps bottled water for purchase in stock, and you can make tea/coffee throughout the day. Overall, a lovely environment that attracts cool people (visitors and local folks alike). Just keep in mind that it is a hostel, so you sacrifice a little comfort for affordability. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Room Tip: Ensuite rooms have A/C.

Dina's hostel is clean, efficiently run hostel in Downtown that is staffed by a great team and has a very friendly vibe. The staff work tirelessly to ensure that your stay is pleasant and that they can help in your travels.

The laundry service was great. It costs only E£3 per item and was ready for me by the end of the day. The drinks fridge was a lifesaver in the Egyptian heat.

My only issue with Dina's was that the tours were a little overpriced. This however has not impacted the scores given above. Mosquito netting on the windows would be appreciated too.

Situated in a nice location downtown. Rates are ok. The owner, Dina, is a friendly lady. She even provides the space for artists. A nice place for artists of different genre & countries to hook up. A small kitchen that the boarders can use for cooking small items , such as noodles etc and drinks as well. But remember the lift is very small and ONLY GOES UP!
