I found Emad through trip advisor and was certainly glad I did. We (my wife and I and two teenage girls) were very weary of traveling to Cairo with the current political situation. Emad assured us that the Giza sites we wished to visit would be safe and they were. Unfortunately for the local tourist economy the sites were very poorly attended. We stayed away from downtown Cairo and did not experience any trouble. Emad was both our guide as well as body guard. He was thorough in pointing out potential pitfalls regarding local merchant selling their wears however left it to us to make our own decisions as to who to purchase from or not. All in all a very positive experience during what is seen by the media as a very tumultuous time in Egypt. Thank you Emad.

My family and I, consisting of three very hard to please teenagers used the services of Emad for 3 days at the beginning of May. He was excellent. My wife and I had been there 12 years before and therefore had some reference material as to what to expect, but Emad was fantastic. Very patient with the kids and very knowledgable about everything we went to see and do. Both Emad and his driver were polite, respectful and knowledgable about all facets of Egypt, both old and modern and his commentaries on life in Egypt both 5000 years ago as today were very insightful.

We were free to plan our own days, with suggestions from Emad which were invaluable and resulted in a wonderful stay in Cairo which the children will remember for a long time to come.
We would have no problem recommending Emad and his driver (with whom our 18 year old daughter fell in love with) to anyone, young or old, with or without children who want to experience Cairo and all that it has to offer.

We booked Emad via email for a 4 days tour in Cairo. He proposed an itinerary that we could follow, but we were also free to decide what to visit and see (which was a plus). On our arrival there was a pickup at the airport extra charged for 23 USD. Our tour vehicle was an air conditioned mini van and the driver (Tito) was a very friendly and a very safe driver. Every morning we were picked up from our hotel and returned back around 3 in the afternoon. We visited everything we wanted to, having Emad storming us with information particularly on antiquities. We visited most of the sites. Keep in mind that Emad doesn't follow the guests in the pyramids should the guests like to enter. When we visited the market in Cairo he kept a close distance just following us, explaining that the shop owners are not happy when tour guides join guests in their market tour (for obvious reasons). As optional part of the tour, we visited a perfume and a papyrus shop which we found waste of time, but of course this is subject to personal taste. All in all we got everything we agreed with Emad and his service was very good. Thank yoy Emad.

As a family of four we went to visit Cairo for 2 days and needed a good tour guide with transport in the short time we had. I can say that Emad did an excellent job and showed us what we wanted to see with a very good friendly attitude, professionalism, and a vast knowledge of Egypt and at a good price. Would definitely use him again and will certainly recommend Emad's services.

I contacted Emad as a result of seeing positive reviews posted on Trip Advisor, to arrange 'extras' not covered in my package tour.

His response to my query was quick and professional, which latter is a description which covers his later services.

While Emad offers tours to the usual sights, he's also flexible enough to arrange what YOU want to see and accommodate your times, whether that be during the day or at night. We saw much of Cairo that the tourists don't usually see in the three days we spent with him, including shopping outside the Khan bazaar (which was largely closed due to the political unrest, and all the stalls are the same anyway).

He'll make suggestions, which patrons are free to accept or reject, based on what they want to do. Obviously, if you have done some basic research by looking at 'Things to do in Cairo' on Tripadvisor, you can tell him what you want to do and he can arrange it. making suitable suggestions. We wanted to go to the Street of the Tentmakers. "So sorry, but that closed two years ago- all the shops are closed." Instead he suggested some great other local sights for us to see. We did briefly pass by the Street of the Tentmakers, and it was indeed a rubbish-strewn wilderness with every one of the premises closed.

Local knowledge beats what Lonely Planet says!

He's very friendly and both knowlegable and professional, with a sly sense of humour. Patrons are valued guests, not just customers.

When we told him that we were changing hotels to go from our own selected hotel to that booked by our main tour operator (for the trip to Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel), he insisted on driving for an hour through the crazy Cairo traffic from his home in Giza so he could take us to the new hotel and we didn't have to take a taxi- doing that free and not expecting payment!

Emad goes one step (or more) further than one can expect.

Remember to keep a few pounds handy each time you go into a mosque (for the doorkeeper/shoe-minder) and every time you want to go to the toilet- but pay on the way out, and if the toilet wasn't clean, don't pay!

I thoroughly recommend Emad for tours in the Cairo area.
