“Great Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 December 2013

Cairo Paradise Hotel is an affordable hotel right in the heart of the downtown business district. The prices are fair and these guys go out of their way for you. The staff is professional and there is someone behind the desk 24 hours a day. The rooms all lock with sturdy dead bolts and I liked the high ceilings. As far as location, there is a McDonalds and a Movie theatre that plays English movies one block in front of Sherif. Also near, is a food court with 5 pound koshery ,falafel, etc If you wanted to, you could walk to the Mugumma to renew your Visa in about 10 minutes. It's on the 6th floor directly above the Richmond Hotel. You have to take the elevator which is quite charming. Just be sure and close the black iron door or it deactivates the elevator from all the other floors (once you step out of it). Breakfast is included. Towels, soap, whatever you need is right there for you. Safe, nice, affordable, and a great location with a friendly staff leave no room for doubt in my mind to recommend to you Cairo Paradise Hotel.

Was in cairo just a few days before the second revolution, The place was a little difficult to find, but once we got there everything was uphill. the guys working there are extremely warm and more than helpful. They sorted out everything for us, including tour package and exchange of currency at the best rates. The rooms were exactly what we pictured and everything is in great working condition. we were suppose to go back for a few days after our visit to sharm el sheikh, but unfortunately we couldnt because of the political unrest. all in all great place and even better people working there

I would recommend this hotel for people staying in Cairo! The room was very basic but clean and had air conditioning. The shared bathroom was very clean as were the sheets and towels. The staff was relly helpful, they helped us book another hotel for a good price and answered all our questions! We would like to give a special thanks to Ahmed the driver who took us to Giza and Saqqarah, he is a really nice and helpful man!

I have travelled to many places and this was my first hostel experience! I went with three other friends and found the experience worthwhile. I would recommend this hostel to anyone. It's not a hotel, but the service is star quality treatment. You cannot beat the location and price of Cairo paradise. It's located rightin the heart of downtown where the shops and street vendors come alive after 4 pm! (everything is open regular business hours, but street vendors set up late in the day) You feel like you are centralized in the pulse of Egypt. The staff was very friendly. Even the ones who couldn't speak English (there was only one individual who didn't speak English, everyone else was proficient in speaking and understanding English) were more than accommodating once they could understand our needs. We were able to walk to the museum of Cairo from the hostel. It took 20 minutes. There is enough places to buy food and or have food delivered. If you craved something specifically, the management sent someone to get it for you. They were absolute gems. The "breakfast lady" who arrives every morning to fix the breakfast was adorable! Her hugs are free of charge!

Back to the hostel:
The rooms are very spacious and clean. I stayed in the room with the red stripeson the wall.the beds were moderately comfortable. The wifi works great.

The only problem I encountered we're Mosquitos and bugs. It may have been the time of year where the Mosquitos were rampant, but they were deadly. The hostel had plug in raids or bug killers for each room, as well as large bug killers (apparatus with blue light), however they were still present. They will spray your room each night if you like, but the fumes rom that can be harmful. So I suggest a small can of off and a small can of raid in case you see another bug!

In all my friends agreed that the experience at Cairo paradise was great. My friends are travelers who have stayEd at hostels in otherat Cairo paradise would rank in their top 5 or 6 of hostels visited. I on the other hand, do not have my thing to compare. However, this was a great first experience and recommend this hostel.

Cheers

Room Tip: It's a noisy area it's in downtown Cairo so bring earplugs just in case....

We stayed at Cairo Paradise with our two young children and only have good things to say about the place. The location is excellent, right in the middle of things and 5 minutes walk from two underground stations. The rooms we stayed in were large and comfortable, although I am not sure all of them are - you might want to check which room you get before taking it. we stayed in two different triple rooms (with private bathroom) and they were great - the purple room being the best.
The staff deserve a special mention for being friendly, polite and efficient without ever being pushy. They picked us up at the airport for free as promised on their website and often went out of their way to help us. A big thanks to them, especially Ahmed.
Not much to say on the down side. As I said, not all rooms are of the same standard, and breakfast is the sam disappointing fare as elsewhere in Egypt, but hey, it's free. on the whole, a very good and reliable choice.
