This Hotel is truely worth 5*. It has anything you could desire. Great location, along the nice with a lovely view. It used to be a palace and has therefor the history that is inspiring.
There is no single detail that I was disatisfied with, may be the price... but what else could you expect staying in a palace?

Stayed here for 19 days - 6 days longer than planned thanks to the icelandic volcano. Have stayed here several times before and have always enjoyed the stay. Food excellent particularly in the steak house but beware, like most places in Cairo alcohol is expensive (a couple of vodka and tonics and a bottle of local wine with the meal cost us £100 not including the food!). The japanese on site is excellent too and good value. The small outside area for shisha is nice and often busy particularly on a friday but beware - bird droppings, they got my wife twice in one night!
Rooms comfortable and very clean. First room was right above where they kennel the security dogs and they kept us awake with their barking, however, we were quickly moved to a nice room on the 18th floor with a nile view.
They are renovating part of the hotel so only 3 elevators were working but we soon learnt that we were allowed to use the service elevators so there were no long waits.
A nice hotel, busy, convenient - good for business travellers.

The main building was a palace built in the 1800's and has elegant arches over narrow columns. There are two large towers (modern architecture, not much character) to either side with guest rooms and in the middle is a large garden area with several outdoor restaurants and a pretty pool, which is long and narrow. The fitness center was well equipped with about 7 treadmills, 4 bikes, several ellipticals and weights. It was surprisingly packed at 8pm on a Sunday night. Rooms are not large but were recently renovated and are comfortable and well decorated. Each room has a balcony (or patio) with a table and two chairs. I loved the view of the garden and Nile from our 16th floor balcony. Service in the garden restaurant can be slow when it's busy, but the employees are pleasant and gracious. The hotel has two levels of shops and a 24 hour bank, which was very convenient. Food from the "Egyptian Nights" restaurant in the garden was delicious. The bread is made fresh on a hot stone in an open area of the restaurant. You can smoke a shisha water pipe there too. If not for the sign "Casino" over a set of French doors, I would not have known the hotel had a casino. It was discreet. We paid the extra charge for an executive level room with access to the executive lounge. This provided us with a buffet breakfast in the mornings and unlimited water/pop during the day. Dinner is served there too. The fee also included internet access in the room.

Hotel was convenient for us as it was "one stop shopping" because of its many restaurants, shops, bakery, bank, and exchange counter. We stayed on the executive floor. The evening mini buffet and breakfast buffet were nice perks. Our package included airport transfer which was very efficient. The room was decent size, but of average decor. The carpet was a bit worn. The bathroom was alright, not fancy, but acceptable. Overall, a little more care could have been taken in the dusting department. The LCD TV was large with a good selection of channels and the AC worked well. The balcony was spacious and offered us a view of the Cairo Tower. The bed was very comfortable. We ordered room service one night and it was efficient and nicely presented. We ate the seafood buffet in Omar's Cafe which was very good, but expensive. We also ate at Egyptian Nights and the meal was average. We tried some desserts in the hotel bakery and they were delicious. The lobby, common areas, and outdoor areas were really nice looking. The main part of the hotel was once a palace and has been preserved quite caringly. We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice as well. Overall, it was a good experience.

A bit tired and basic but great location near all the nice restaurants. Seqouia, Abu Sid and Labodega are all in Zamalek and are very nice restaurants - make sure you book as they get very busy...

Brunch at the Marriott Gardens is a must..

I enjoyed my stay here, but it is not the Four Seasons. It is a typical Marriott in service and room. The public areas are much nicer, but the volume of traffic throughout the hotel leaves top-notch service impossible. The spa area needs to be renovated. Very old looking.

We just came back from a 5 days trip in Cairo. Our travel agency made a reservation for a Nile view room which was really great (it worths the extra cost). The beds were very confortable and there was a variety of pillows to choose from.We tried the Tuscany restaurant which was good but a little expensive. In everything you order or buy in Egypt there is 25%taxes!! The pool was heated and the facilities very clean. Coffee maker provided.Breakfast very rich and international(from pancakes to sushi and also steaks!) served until 11 am.You can make a reservation for guided tours offered by the hotel(quite pricy). There is a supermarket near the hotel where you can buy water or soft drinks.Minibar is expensive.Last advice:if you get a good rate stay there! The city of Cairo is chaotique!!!
