“Friendly Staff to make stay comfortable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2013

The Staff is very Friendly and tries to make the stay comfortable in every possible way. The Overall Feel of the Hotel is good. Located in Prime Area of Cairo City and facilities like grocery shops are easily accessible. Breakfast is bit depressing as the Food items are same and are repeated daily without any change. The Staff specially Ahmed (Tall Guy) is very Friendly and helps the Guest in every possible way. Also goes out of ways to help in special way to make the stay comfortable. Facilities are good although used very less but still the used ones are good. The Kitchen Facility is also available but it cost some extra dollars daily which sometimes gives feel that its not actually worth.

Our family of four loved this hotel. We stayed 3 nights in April 2013. After busy days touring noisy Cairo, we were happy to return to this quiet oasis. Apparently downtown hotels have traffic noise, so we chose this location (Hilton on Zamalek, which is basically an island in the city), thinking that we could use a good quiet's night sleep each night of our stay. We had booked two twin bedded rooms, but were given a complimentary upgrade to their two bedroom suite. Wow! If you can afford the Nile view, it may be worth considering...we loved our Nile view. The breakfast buffet is fabulous. A huge selection of foods from different cultures...sure to please everyone. Delicious, wide variety, in a pretty location (beautifully decorated, with big windows to look out onto the terrace and the Nile beyond). Some made to order items too, such as omelette, eggs, waffles, etc. For evening dinners we ordered room service twice, and were very happy with the food and the service. A third night we went to a french restaurant attached to the hotel and were pleased with it too. Very safe with airport style security in the lobby (a beautiful lobby, might I add). Our tour guide said the neighborhood was safe enough for us to walk around ourselves (which we didn't take the time to do, but it was good to know that it's safe). The pool was pretty and we did try it but it was a bit cool. Every staff member was extremely professional, polite and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if we visit Cairo again. For business people needing to have meetings downtown or elsewhere, you may wish to check travel times...I have no knowledge to share about that. For us being picked up by a tour guide (Ayman Ahmed from trip advisor...very highly recommended!) and not needing to attend meetings downtown or wherever, this suited us perfectly. Great job Hilton Zamalek!

Room Tip: Nile view was great. Ask for a high floor.

I was thrilled to read your great comments about the hotel, you were very right when you described the hotel as an island, as the hotel is located in the island of Zamalek, the most prestigious district in Cairo. I am happy to know that you liked our famous breakfast widt buffet. It was great luck to be upgraded to one of our luxurious suites due o high occupancy during that period, It was greate to know that you had the chance to experience our food and beverages facilities and you liked them. And I am very happy too to read that our team members have extended their profissional services that were appreciated by your respective family. I hope to serve you and your family once more at the near future. Thank you so much for your comments.

Hi,

I stayed in hilton zamalek for almost 2 years.
It is well situated at NILE river bank. U can enjoy the river view from the room.
Situated in the centre of city with so many restaurants nearby.
Also there are many embassies on the same street so this place is very secured.

Wish to visit again....

Room Tip: Choose the room with river view

We stayed here one night at the beginning of our trip to Egypt, and then two nights at the end. It was nice to be welcomed "home" when we returned. The hotel was even kind enough to store my son's larger bag (he just completed a study abroad) while we toured other parts of Egypt. The hotel is in a quiet location, and it was nice to return here each night after the chaos and noise of Cairo. Everything was very clean, the staff was very kind and helpful, the security was appreciated. We were upgraded from two single rooms to a 2 bedroom suite which was very nice. The only strange thing was that our room was not made up between the two nights. When we returned and realized this, we were tired and so just called down for fresh towels which were quickly delivered. I'm not sure why it wasn't cleaned, probably just overlooked, but was surprised.

i stayed in this hotel for 2 months. it is a pretty small hotel, which makes you feel a litlle at home. the staff is very nice and helpful. the hotel is clean and in very good shape. there is a mix of guest s and residents. there are a couple of nice quiet restaurants with very good food in walking distance. the hotel is in zamalek, which is not as great as many people say. zamalek is very narrow, crowded and has a lot of traffic.
the only thing which is not at the highest standard about the hilton is their restaurant. which is just ok. but there is a japenese restaurant and a french bistro connected to the hotel which gives you some variety. the gym is small but modern and with a nice view.

Room Tip: try to get a room with a view on the nile

Thank you so much for your kind feedback, I am happy that you have enjoyed your stay with us for two months, I am happy that you liked the cleanness of the hotel and that our team has provided the expected services.
Talking about Zamalek, I do appreciate your comments which based on your real experience, it is always depending on each one own perception and expectations, I just want to highlight that Zamalek has its unique look and feel, since it is an island in the middle of the magnificent Nile River, however it is still part of Cairo, it has its own rush hours, while enjoying quietness for the rest of the day, it is considered one of the most prestigious districts of Cairo, that is why it is always selected to be the permanent location of the most of the foreign embassies in Cairo.
I really appreciate your comments, and hope to welcoming you once more in the near future.

I felt like I was pampered from the first day to the last. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff went out of their way to help me and see to my every need. Was a little disappointed that there was no boutique inside the hotel, but they have everything else.

Room Tip: Try to stay on the Nile side - better view and more interesting "goings on" on the water...
