Words can not express the value and the history inside this museum it is not comparable to any other around the globe,advisable to start with the chamber of Tut Ankh Amon ,on the second level,then the mummies room,then visit slowly the wrest of the museum,you should not expect to finish the museum in just one visit,it contains to many things to see
P.S ; Do NOT use a guide from those who offer their services at the gate , they over charge for their service,and just keen to take you to papyrus galleries and perfumes shops where you'll be overcharged too,as the guides gets over 50% commission of what you pay in these shops

It is amazing place, you will feel that the place takes you 5000 years back, you will open your mouth and eyes to follow each small piece and read every small paper, you will see by yourself how is those Pharos was great and you will wonder how they did all that in that time.
I advice you to visit the Momies room and it will better if you ask for a tour guide to take in a tour inside the museum, it is not expensive at all and the best s that most probebly you will find some speak your languagh.
Enjoy the museum and do not forget to enjoy Cairo itself, it is great city.

So much marvellous things to watch but the presentation is very outdated and in some places very poor in comparison to the products displayed!

That really amazing, you shall see the mummies which are kept since thousands of years (you have to pay for a special ticket for the mummies hall) , you shall see the treasures of Tout Ankh Amoon which were found in his tomb at Luxour, and you shall see many other statues and paintings and ornaments which shall tell you about the eldest civilization on the world.
