“Marriott's best (of what's left)”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

I enjoyed an extended stay at the Marriott on business and of the remaining restaurants still operating (several have closed), this is the best. It's outside dining, and although smoking abounds outside, this is where the shisha aficionadi congregate. I generally abhor cigarette smoking during my meals, but the sweet smell of shisha is more like incense. It adds to the ambiance. (All of the cigarette smokers ate at the Promenade Restaurant). The patio is lovely. The fall nights are cool and pleasant. I believe I tried 75% of the menu's offerings and enjoyed them all. The staff is courteous and attentive. It's just a nice place to eat a good meal and chill out. In one corner I could always catch a good football (soccer) match on a large flatscreen, in the other I could watch the little, old ladies making fresh ayesh (Egyptian unleavened bread) in a brick oven, or just people watch all around me. I dig this place.

“excellent food”
Reviewed 9 November 2013

We had a lovely evening meal in this Marriott Hotel restaurant sits along the Nile River. Staff are polite and attentive.Food is cooked to perfection, I quite enjoyed falafel leaves and marinated goat. Food value are good but drinks can be a bit pricey.Wonderful ambience with their outdoor seating. We finished the evening admiring the hotel's interior as they are amazing to look at, with all of it's grandeur and splendour.
