For Christians, visiting Coptic Cairo was an amazing experience and one that you will value especially seeing where the Holy Family hid during King Herod's time.

“Coptic Cairo”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

We enjoyed visiting this area of Cairo- there were mosques and interesting sites to see dating back to biblical times- we loved seeing where Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus lived briefly for 6 months during the period of king Herod when he ordered all the baby boys to be killed- they have preserved this area which are really tight quarters.

“Coptic Museum”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

It's a lovely place for a wander in the mornings. The museum is well worth a visit, lovely artifacts and manuscripts.

You are not allowed to take photos in the museum, so be prepared to leave your camera at the ticket office.
