This is the smaller sphinx, was a lot of fun to wonder in the warmth to see all these ancient pieces and see what Ramses the 2nd had done. We were told that everything that says Ramses the 2nd isn't all his.

It is in Memphis which is 15-20 miles away from Giza Plateau , if you have time go there, there is also the master piece colossal limestone statue of Ramses 2 , which used to be 12.8 high when standing, but legs are missin now- toilets available but not so clean, entrance is 35 EGP for adult

I am very well traveled in Egypt, but I had never seen this sphinx with trees behind. This is definitely not the Giza Sphinx, as many people write in their contributions.
I am also sure the Giza sphinx is made of Lime stone and not marble.
So, why not mention clearly where this "Mysterious" Marble sphinx is?

Visited the Sphinx as part of my cruise excursion that I arranged privately with a tour company. The structure is amazing! However, the local kids were harassing us by grabbing our cameras to take photos and thereafter aggressively asking for money when we refused. Many unsuspecting tourists (esp. old ladies had to pay them small tips otherwise they were cornered). Along the way, local vendors were also very aggressive and annoying. So watch out!

Beautifully carved and well worth a detour in our day out.
Not a lot of people look at this we were told, perhaps tour guides should add it to the list.
