“Serapium closed, philosphers tombs in dirt...”
Reviewed 20 March 2012

The Serapium is closed for visitors, it is under restauration. On the way to the mastaba of Ti, we can see the Philosophers tomb, very neglected, under sand and dirt - nobody is there to take care of it, though it is obvious, they have made the area, ready for visitor. The stairs are eventually there, to go down... Very sad to see this in such a condition! Somebody should go there and clean up the rubbish and sweap out the sand!

“Badly kept statues under nasty crumbling concrete roofing”
Reviewed 4 January 2012

These 1st century Roman statues sit neglected and overlooked at Saqqara. Their sand-filled dirty area will not turn glance or steps from tourists walking to the excellent tomb of Ti.
