Dashure is soooo much better than Giza when it comes to the Pyramids. No aggresive vendors. Travel w/a local guide is advised. Casual Cairo Detours are the best.

Little bit of quiet in the desert. If you come early and avoid the crowds! We hired a driver and had the place to ourselves, got there about noon. Can't go in any of these, but worth the visit. Don't forget to look for the queens pyramid behind the kings.

This 'bent' pyramid shows the evolution from the step pyramid to the typical ones at Gizeh.
Interesting on how they had to alter the angle because of a looming collapse.
It really shows well how smooth the pyramids originally were.

Entry into the Red Pyramid, the first true pyramid, is included in the admission fee. No facilities, except for a nasty squat toilet WC near the entrance. No crowds. Go early to to avoid the heat.

It is a nice pyramid with a satellite one close by ,the history of them and the building and all is what wows the visitor ,never mind that they are over 4000 years old!

Thank aboudi
