“for self catering, why would you stay anywhere else”

We found ourselves in Cairo and in need of an apartment, contacted Rochelle by email and after a swift response found ourselves in the apartment that afternoon.
A wonderful place, it really did feel like staying at a friends house, the decoration is wonderful with bits and pieces that seem to have been collected from personal travels. Clean linen and bath towels, two toilets, everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Each room has an amazing view of the pyramids of Giza, you can make a cup of tea whilst looking at the pyramids, wake up, look out of the window and say good morning to the pyramids, sit on the couch or open the french doors onto the balcony and sit appreciating the pyramids.
The apartment was clean and well looked after and the furnishings comfortable. The apartment is located in a small group of apartment buildings with a caretaker to hand, we felt safe and enjoyed our stay immensely. Next time we find ourselves in Cairo this place would certainly be our first choice. If you are looking for a self catering apartment then why would you stay anywhere else. Many thanks.

This apartment is excellent. it is bright and airy and extremely clean, which is very important to me. The view of the Pyramids from the balcony is truly amazing. The Pyramids themsleves are about a 10 minute walk away but it is easier to ask Mohmed, who looks after the apartment and its guests, to take you there. Mohmed is happy to arrange tours other areas of interest at very reasonable prices. He was so helpful and extremely knowledgeable about Cairo and Egypt in general. The apartment is away from the bustle of downtown Cairo but within easy travelling distance of the Khan el Khalili, Citadel and the big shopping Malls in Heliopolis should that take your fancy. There is mini supermarket downstairs to the apartment where you can pick up basics and Ragheb & Sons, which is a larger supermarket, is also nearby. The apartment is in an ideal location for the new Cairo Museum which is due to open in 2013.as it is literally just across the road! All in all a totally wonderful holiday a truly beautiful apartment. So good in fact that I am already planning my next trip to Pyramids Dream Come True!

“Brilliant Apartment & Fantastic Host!”
Reviewed 21 July 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We stayed in this brilliant apartment from 30 June until 16 July 2012 and it was perfect for us and our four children. Mohmed the property manager picked us up at the airport, lent us Egyptian pounds to purchase water and conveyed us to the apartment. He could not have been kinder and it was refreshing in an environment where everyone is pushing you to buy or do something to have someone so trustworthy and dependable. The apartment itself was very clean (which is one of my most important concerns) and Mohmed did a great job in showing us around. It's incredible to wake up with a cup of coffee and sit on the balcony with the Pyramids in front of you!

There is a very reasonable store only a hundred metres from the apartment which sells the essentials, so bread, cheese, juice, soda and water is always available. While you can walk to the Pyramids (which we did), I would recommend a taxi, as there is plenty of walking to do around the Pyramids themselves and the taxi shouldn't cost more than 10 Egyptian pounds or so (£1), so it's very worth it. We just froze a half dozen bottles of water the night before and set out in the morning! You really can't drink enough in Egypt during the summer and sometimes it's hard just to keep up with your thirst.

Taxi rides to central Cairo are only about 40 Egyptian pounds, but we normally used Mohmed's services for half day excursions, as we could stop at multiple locations and keep our things in the car and his rates are very reasonable, so I would heartily recommend him, as he is an excellent guide, with excellent English and most importantly, integrity! His half day rates were £15 as of July 2012. We visited Dashur, the Citadel, Coptic Cairo, the Zoo and many other locations with him and our children enjoyed his company.
