We spent 3 days in Cairo after Istanbul and despite all the negative international media reporting, somehow we felt safe in Cairo. Tourism in Egypt had been battered badly over the last few years and the number of tourist dropped to low levels. I guess that is why we had such a good time here, without having to compete with other tourist like in Istanbul @ all the top notch must see places in Cairo ! We loved the warmness of the Egyptian people thoughout our stay and the guys in Pyramid Inn are no exceptional. Pyramid Inn may not give you a 5 star hotel accommodation, but it is made up by their 5 star genuine hospitality and a great view of the Pyramids ! You may enjoy the great view at their roof top area and meet new friends , and that was exactly what we did .
A special appreciation to Abdul, our guide and protector and body guard !! Your humour and friendship over the 3 days have taught us so much about the life of people in Egypt and that is something we will cherish. To the others in Pyramid View Inn, thank you for a memorable stay ! To those who are still unsure about going to Egypt due to the negative media reports, as long as you avoid " high risk area ", everything here is calm and normal.More
