We stayed 2 nights as part of a tour. The hotel was quite full with children running around everywhere. Couldn't bear to try the pool due to all the kids. Sitting around the pool was uncomfortable because many people smoke shisha pipes there, therefore eating near the pool was also unpleasant. Drinks were more expensive than in other 5 star hotels. Food was ok, particularly from the Italian restaurant. Service was generally slow.

The room was a reasonable size and aircon worked well. Unfortunately the bed was very hard. It took 10 minutes of running the shower before water got hot (if at all). In general the grounds were nice but rubbish left on the grass by other patrons was not cleaned up after 2 days.

The location is terrible with nowhere decent to walk to within 30 mins walk. The road is decrepit so walking is a real challenge anyway. If you are considering this hotel I would suggest you look at Mercure Le Sphinx instead.

Room Tip: Stay at another hotel.

I stayed at this hotel booked by our Indian tour operator, I&Y Tours and its counterpart in Egypt, Royal Ways, our first stopover during our Holy Land pilgrimage. It is a comfortable chalet style property with lovely gardens & comfortable rooms. Breakfast was a lavish spread & delicious. Since we didn't spend much daytime hours there, I am unable to write about other facilities offered by the hotel. What excited me no end was to see Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence prominently displayed. I couldn't resist telling them that we at Graceful Home Stay, Trivandrum, were also recipients of similar certificates in 2013 & 2014. There was instant bonding!!!

Room Tip: Select one of the chalets at the rear of the hotel & enjoy a walk through the various gardens.

I stayed here for one night with my family( 2 Adults and 1 Child) which was booked for me by my Egypt tour operator as part of the package. The room was OK for 3 people. The wash basin did not work properly after some time and all the water clogged up. The swimming pool was good. My daughter enjoyed it. The restaurant in the hotel was awful. We ordered a vegetable pizza. It was terrible and we could not even eat half of it. We left early in the morning so did not try breakfast. Overall it is ok.

Living in Cairo, it's hard to spend a nice day lazing by a pool, so we we the to oasis for day use. The roo we were given was close to the pool. It was very clean and comfortable. It also had a safe. We had use of the hotel pool all facilities and room from 10 am to 6 om. The pool was clean and it was a really great day. The hotel was busy due to the easter break, but all the staff were friendly and happy. Well worth it and can't wait to go back

My partner and I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of a tour through Egypt, and then at the end of the tour. When we arrived in Egypt (around 4 a.m.) our guide was not available to meet us at the airport due to a strike with Egypt Air that had delayed our arrival. The hotel staff were accommodating by allowing us to check in early in the morning, although we did have to wait in the bar (which was fine with us) for our room to be prepared. While it took a little getting used to the police and guards at the entry to the hotel, and if sitting in the hotel entry lounge area the metal detector seemed to go off a bit, but did not distract the guards much, we found the hotel comfortable. At one point I had to call home, and while I could not be sure, it appeared to me that the hotel operator was listening to our call, but I may have been mistaken. The grounds of the hotel are very nice. During our first stint at the hotel, we were placed next to the tennis courts, which did not offer that nice of a view. However, on our return, our room was near finely kept trees and greenery, with a little table and chairs set off in a shaded area on the lawn where cats frolicked. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were responsive. The "Italian" restaurant at the hotel would not get high marks, but the restaurant on the ground floor served one of the best meals I had during my entire trip in Egypt (garlic rice, almond soup, grilled sea bass, and potato croquets). We found it very relaxing to sit by the pool and drink wine, smoke shisha, and write in our journals. The staff were a little slow, but polite. It was interesting that they preferred to be paid with crisp bills. If they were torn or damaged in any way they would request a different bill. The AC in the rooms were all controlled by the entry key, which sometimes was problematic as the room would be stuffy upon our return. We had thought the hotel would overlook the pyramids, but it does not. However, they are close. The hotel served breakfast, which was fairly good compared to other meals we had while we were in Egypt. The hotel had limited wines, to our recollection there were primarily two, and we chose the Omar Khyam, which is a little strong. The hotel did not have free internet services, although at some points during the day we could watch CNN World on the CRT television. If we are in Cairo again, we would stay at this hotel. It was quite comfortable and was, indeed, like a gated Oasis in the middle of a bustling city.

Stayed here for two nights as part of a group tour starting and ending in Cairo. Due to the still negative image for Egypt at this time my group tour ended up being a personal tour with no single supplements and the guides all to myself! Stayed in 3 hotels on the tour all good and the Oasis Hotel no exception. It really is an oasis in what seemed to me the wrecked city of Cairo. Set in lovely gardens the rooms are resort style with nice pool and bar/restaurant area. very many rooms which were very comfortable and clean, excellent value. Again the hotel was almost empty so the advertised entertainment and services were not available. Which is understandable. Reception area is dated but not bad. Food in the bar was good and breakfast ok. Service slow but ok this is Egypt. More staff than guests but that was my finding all over Egypt at the time of my visit. The Spa/sauna facilities were good, an added bonus. Location good for the pyramids but not good in terms of walking somewhere. Located on a busy road only possible to go anywhere by car. One other small negative, no free wifi. $3 per half hour.... in hostels it free but in any reasonable hotel you have to pay. in this day, why?
