The temple at Edfu is an amazing stop on the ride between Aswan and Luxor. It features some completely original parts, including stone ceilings, and offers a stunning side chaple with a most rare ceiling painting of goddess Nut.

The enormous temple of Horus located on the west bank of the Nile near the city of Edfu is perhaps one of the largest and best preserved Pharaonic temples built during the Greco Roman period of Egyptian history. The huge statue of Horus, the falcon god at the entrance, the bright coloured very detailed drawings although faded over thousands of years bear witness to the skill of ancient Egyptian artisans

It's like you would be moving back in time. This is for sure the largest and best preserved temple in Egypt along the Nile cruise. The columns, walls, entrance, monuments...everything is in astonoshing shape and quality.
