AnaKato is a very nice place to enjoy the wonderful sight of the Nile and the no-noise environment.

The staff is VERY friendly. The place is very clean. The access to the Nile motor boats marina is very good as you can make all your transportations (almost all) with boats in the Nile!

The hotel have 3 main buildings, AnaKato 1, 2 and 3. They are about 100 meters apart from each other. AnaKato 1 has a very nice decoration but the access to the Nile is not easy. AnaKato 2 has the street between it and the Nile. AnaKato 3 is the closest to the Nile. Anakato 3 is the most kids friendly one.

You have to be ready with a mosquito repellent as the night is full of mosquito.

The food is the cause of 4 of 5 rating! For each meal you will be missing something, either the taste or the portion size or the timing.

The Nubian village has many bazaars you can enjoy shopping. Also, Nubian houses can offer you tea and coffee. Also, they raise crocodiles... yes crocodiles :) you can take a photo carrying one of them.

I strongly recommend to spend your vacation there.

Room Tip: The rooms are good but not very roomy. If you are into a Family room, you need to ask for Room #18 o...

This has been my first visit to Nubia and it was lovely. Anakato reflects the life of such Nubian islands. People over there are so kind and very helpful with their dark skin and beautifully white teethed smiles. I fell in love with the place, the colored buildings, rooms, decorations and most importantly the stunning view I used to see every morning when I wake up. It’s a very peaceful place where you can relax, unwind and enjoy the scenery.

Anakato is divided into three houses named: Anakato 1, 2, and 3. I stayed in Anakato 2 where it was quiet and peaceful. In my opinion I kinda felt that Anakato 3 is a little bit noisy being closer to the bazaars and a felouka dock. All meals are served in Anakato 3, so we had to take the 5 minutes walk between Anakato 2 and 3 for our breakfast every day which i didn't mind but if you will be visiting with old family members who may not be able to handle the somehow sloping walk, then it will be better for you if you stay at Anakato 3 from the start. All tours can be arranged for you by the hotel personnel, if you don’t have a sightseeing plan in mind they can surely help you through one. I would only like them to work on their meal variety a bit more. I had the same breakfast every morning during my stay and at a certain time I felt I needed to have something different. Other than that, my stay was perfect. I totally enjoyed my time there and I would definitely visit again.

Room Tip: a room with a window might be better, the ones with no windows felt a bit dim.

Visiting Nubia was like a journey to the land of good people. People are the treasure of this place. Anakato holds all the Nubian beauty together in one colourful spot. Staff here makes everything easy, and reachable. They would love to make conversations with you about anything that is related to their culture and history of the Nubians. Rooms are very clean, and has an adequate bathrooms. Service is very consistent. Location is the best. Would love to come back next year.

A simple, secluded motel by the Nile, Anakato is just a good representation of how Noubians live, quite, simple and satisfied. The Nile view from its many terraces is simply breathtaking. I finally made it last month and I m going back in Feb again. A place to be.

Room Tip: All rooms are simple with no particular view.

This cozy home on the banks of the Nile is a true gem and must visit for anyone planning a trip to Aswan. It strikes the perfect balance between authenticity and quality hospitality. The food was good and the service was great! The staff were very flexible and willing to help meet your needs every step of the way whether it was by making recommendations for our stay in Nubia / Aswan or arranging for our transportation.

We were a group of 8 friends and were given the whole of Anakato 1 (5 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms) to ourselves. We had to do some shuffling around with the rooms to accommodate the single and double bed arrangements but the consensus is that it is a place we plan to return to again and soon!

Our stay coincided with New Year's Eve for 2014 and there was a 'mandatory' dinner party for all of Anakato's guests (costed 175 le and ended at around 10.30pm). While the entertainment was a bit too touristy for our tastes, everyone had a good laugh and was able to usher in the new year in good spirits.
