Nice big hotel on the north side of Aswan, a little bit removed from the center of town. All rooms face the Nile river and have great views. There is a moderate walk to resturants around the train station. The hotel is used mostly by tourists and very few stay here. Because of the lack of occupancy, most guests stay on the third floor. The rooms are clean, the TV is not that great, and there is no internet or WIFI in the room, so you have to go to the lobby to access the internet. The staff is nice and it feels like you have this huge hotel to yourself. The free breakfast is really good with a lot of food.

When walking outside the hotel, watch out for aggressive horse drawn carriage drivers trying to get your business.

Room Tip: Stay on the third floor or higher.

This hotel was our lunch stop whilst on an organised one day tour from Luxor. It is also used as an overnight stop for those going to Abu Simbel. A soulless dining room where our group of 4 were the only diners, brought to mind a 1960's Russian Airport. I wont go on about the lack of service, unacceptable English (we had to mime what a fried egg was) or poor selection of food. What must be reported is that my partner and I both went down with bad gastric problems within 12 and 24 hours of that meal, with no other possible sources of contamination. I have visited Egypt 4 times and never been sick, until this visit.

We complained to our tour company who then reported that the hotel had been "sold to the army" on January 1st 2013 and that they would "no longer use it". Our advice is to check that YOUR tour doesn't stop here.

We stayed in hotel Iberotel just for one night during our 2 weeks vacation in Egypt but thought it to be the best hotel we had during the trip. The hotel as excellent location; right on Nile river with superb unblocked views of Nile from every room. Rooms are nicely furnished and comfortable.

The hotel also has a nice restaurant (and also swimming pool and chalets) across the road from the main hotel (connected by a private underpass) right on the bank of Nile river and we had an excellent dinner there sitting close to the river. I really appreciated the excellent service provided by Mr Nabil from the restaurant's team in taking us to the river side restaurant and offering some excellent vegetarian food suggestions for us to make our stay comfortable and memorable after a long day spent flying from Cairo in the morning and full day Abu Simbel tour.

The breakfast was nice with a good mix of Egyptian and continental food.

We liked our short stay there.

We stayed at this hotel for one night while waiting for our Nile Cruise. The staff was very accommodating and allowed us to check in at 8 am (they are not busy with tourism down these days). Breakfast here is very extensive and very nice. Many different options. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not luxury by any means, but not ragged at all. View over the river was great! There is wire Internet in the rooms, we use a hot spot for these situations and it works fine.

It is a little far from the city center, so we ended up not walking through the souk or other areas of Aswan. It was however, right across the street from our ship, which made the transition easy. Overall, a nice hotel, price was fair and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are river view. There are also suites or separate cottages across the street b...

My wife and I stayed here as part of a Travel Talk tour. The hotel was clean and tidy the recption area of the hotel was huge and they had free wifi in the lobby area. The staff are friendly and we were greeted with a welcome drink on arrival.

The room was large and the bed was comfortable. A nice flat screen tv and a clean shower and bathroom with great hot water pressure. We had a great view of the Nile from our room and it was a 5 minute walk to the downtown area.

We had a Breakfast pack provided for our trip to Abu Simbel and it was nice and filling. Over all it was a great hotel very warm comfortable and welcoming.

We only stayed a night in this hotel as we were in Aswan for just one night before departing on our Nile Cruise. We found it cosy, comfortable and convenient for our purpose. We appreciated the free wifi offered by the hotel.

The absolute plus point is the fantastic view of the Nile from our room window and balcony. We could stay at the balcony whole day long and still be dazzled by the view.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Although there isn't a wide variety of choices, it was adequate. We chose not to eat out as we had to leave early the next morning (3am) for our trip to Abu Simbel.

Nice hotel on the fringe of the city not far from the centre and Taxis if needed were readily available Staff very helpful. My wife has walking difficulties and a wheelchair was provided, I didn't even have to push it. Nice pool with excelent views of the Nile while sun bathing. The room was comfortable and quiet with a huge bed. Roof service was quick and efficient. In all we had a great week end. Would definately use the hotel again.
