Pyramisa Isis hotel-Aswan
We travelled on the 8th May, saying for 14 nights, six of us to this wonderful idilc island in the middle of the Nile with Saga travel company, travelling from Heathrow, having been met by Saga representatives at Heathrow, Cairo and Aswan on our journey.
We arrived early in the morning, booking- in was trouble free, a light meal had been left in our rooms for us.
From the minute we arrived we were treated like family and nothing was too much trouble, all of the staff are friendly and welcoming, we would like to personally thank Mohamed Fekry, General Manager; Ahmed Elsayed, Bar and Restaurant Manager; and Kahlid, waiter for their professional attitude, unceasing care, courtesy and hospitality shown throughout our stay.
Meals are buffet style with short order options at every sitting, however, if you would like something special, with notice, this can be prepared and cooked for you, none of our party ever left the table hungry or dissatisfied, the waiter service is very attentive.
The staff under the guidance and management of Mohamed Fekry are a team to be proud of and well deserved. Ayman Ali the Saga representative was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout our stay arranging excursions, advising generally regarding hotel, local/national news, culture and economic social affairs.
A pleasure to recommend this hotel, management, staff and Saga representative.

The excursions to Abu Simbel, Philae, Luxor, High Dam and Kalabsha which were well planned and executed by the guides who supplied information, from which, our party gained a vast amount of Egyptian knowledge, both in history and culture.
Additionally, we met a feluka owner Magdy by the quayside in Aswan and took two trips with him, being very interesting and offering great value for money, we would recommend.

The world is suffering from recession, therefore this country is understandably lacking in travellers and holiday makers in the region, the shopkeepers are all touting for business at the moment, and this can be a little pressurising at times, be firm, polite and you will enjoy haggling to obtain a bargain.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Aswan Egyptian experience, will hopefully travel again soon.

We stayed at the Pyramisa the last week in April and the first week in May. From the time we were met at Heathrow by the Saga Rep until our return, our holiday could not have been better.
The location of the hotel, all the staff, the food and service made for a very relaxing holiday. If all go's well we will return to the Pyramisa again next year.

Room Tip: we stay in a nile view room which was great

The hotel was wonderful, spacious and very clean. The staff could not do enough for you, very friendly always smiling. As the hotel had lack of visitors we were waited on for the majority of our stay.
The pool area was lovely, and the staff there were also very attentive. If you like birds, wonderful views, and peacefulness. Then this hotel will give you that. The hotel is placed on a private island with a free regular boat that will take you to Aswan.
The 28 acres of grounds are worth walking round to see other views of the Nile.
The food was always hot and tasty, but did lack a bit of variety. But to point out the staff were willing to help with a meal of your choice. It is usually a buffet, but due to low numbers it was easier all round to wait on us with a menu.
We enjoyed our trips to various sites, especially valley of the kings, queens, Karnak and Abul Simbel. Our guide, Ahmed was very knowledgeable, and explained things fully.
The assistant manager Ahmed always found time to ask about our stay.
Ayman, our rep was very helpful and also joined us for table tennis in the morning. (I am not saying who won).
Overall I would say our holiday experience here has been better than we hoped for and would not hesitate in returning next year.
I think people assume Egypt is not a safe place to visit, as lack of visitors would show. I want to tell everyone that Egypt is a very safe place, not once do we feel uncomfortable, and felt the exact opposite. The locals were very friendly, and made us feel very welcome in their wonderful country.
Thanks to all the staff.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the back of hotel overlooking the sand dunes, quieter, and you may see a sunset

Prior to chose a hotel, think twice. I suppose you are sensitive to beauty and the unique. On the east riverside? Noooo ... too classic plus the one you have in mind, too expensive. The big tower one ? Noooo ... too many sharing the same island. So ... you want for yourself a whole island, special views, long walks along the shoreline and all around to be green with a million flowers ... I got you ? Pyramisa Isis Island Resort has all that you want. Check the pictures. In love to the desert, scenery and quietude? ... chose the west side area, the upper floor from the side parallel with the Nile. Like lazy boats floating in the evening? ... chose a room to the east side, upper floors, the part with windows to Feryal Garden direction. Want to be in the middle of the romantic action? ... try a chalet, maybe one to the north part of the island and look at the boats floating trough sunset and don’t blame me if you will decide to cry of happiness. Want to philosophize? ... take a friend, grab a drink and a smile, go to the west side terrace. Hate everybody? ... go alone at the south side, it’s deserted. Too old or too full of whims? ... go home, it’s better for all. Want to take some great wildlife shots? ... take your camera, a small boat and go to the southern channels ... and be quiet ... Want to socialize? ... not any problem, all around is full of people crazy about Egypt ...
I have no single reproach for this resort ... but I have some huuuuge regrets ... The time was too short, I was not able to profit from all you will see here on the island ... I had no time to go swimming with the locals to the west side, the Nile is sooooo clear, I have never imagined such water ... It was no time for a grand tour of the Nile in the cataract area ...

Visually the hotel and the setting are beautiful, it's lovely having to take a boat to your hotel, so peaceful and quiet. The food was mediocre and not as hot as it should have been and not a great deal of choice, which I felt let the hotel down quite badly. However with the decline of the tourist trade I feel it is now taking it's toll, I found the staff to be completely over the top in their desperation to obtain a tip and this was quite uncomfortable and overbearing at times.

Have just returned from 4 wonderful relaxing weeks at this beautiful hotel and I would urge anyone who appears reluctant to visit Egypt to give this hotel a try. We took several trips from Aswan including a memorable trip to Abu Simbel. There is so much to do from this hotel especially taking a felucca along the Nile which is an extremely peaceful experience.

You will find that the General Manager Mohamed Fekri and all his staff will go out of their way to make your stay unforgettable. The service at mealtimes together with the food could not be faulted

The extensive garden and grounds surrounded by the River Nile are as close to paradise as you can get. We spent every morning at the end of the island watching the numerous different birds prior to going to a very enjoyable breakfast.

We shall certainly return again to this hotel
