I think that in Egypt, you just have to ignore the garbage and pollution to be able to see the nice stuff. I like Egypt very much, more south i go, more I like it. Aswan is one of my favorite places and the islands are nice to see. You will feel much safer going in the group I think, we went alone and we were a bit scared at some points. But it all went fine and it is a very nice memory

Beautiful little island that showcases Nubian culture. There are some ruins at one end of the island which are very interesting along with a nile-o-meter and then we walked around, sat along the nile, wandered through some farms, and had lunch at "Nubian Dreams". Great place!

Whilst on a boat trip heading to one of the many sites around, the boat was approached by swimming traders offering items for sale wrapped up in waterproof packaging & even 'Swimmers SINGING' for a tip,
If you are going to pay them anything... DON'T DO AS I DID & PAID WITH COINS.. As they will risk their lives if they drop one by diving deep down to look for it.
It was very amusing & fun.

A fascinating sight in the middle of the Nile. Our Felluca ride took us around it and you can easily see why it's name Elephantine. With a little imagination, you can see elephants from various angles in the granite.
We had a Felluca ride in the afternoon and the boat got stuck in the 'doldrums' when the wind dropped, so we had plenty of time to view the Island and watch the sun set, before our chap decided to paddle the boat, using the plank we walked on the boat with. We made it back to our boat in time for dinner!
