This restaurant has its special athmosphere, it's very peacefull surroundings, like magic in the air. It's not packed which in places like this is a good side. Service is not very fast but that's normal in Luxor especially on the west bank and if on holiday what's the rush? Food is excellent. There is not menu, you just choose what you want to eat (kofta, chicken etc) and you get plenty off stuff; salad, bread, vegetable tagen, rice or French fries etc. Also breakfast available (fuul). One of the places people should try!

We never would have found this little spot on the West Bank without the help of our taxi driver. It is near Medinet Habu and Deir el Medina but don't look for signs. The entrance is nothing special but once inside the courtyard you feel like you are in another world. Sitting under the shade of the trees with a cool breeze, the atmosphere is relaxed and casual. The waiter spoke excellent English and recommended the tagine which we all ate. It was probably the best tagine we had in Egypt during our two week stay. It was accompanied by a salad plate, a fabulous bread, tahine dip and deep fried eggplant. It was all so delicious that we went back again the next day and did it all again. This time it was also accompanied by a feta type of cheese that was to die for. We highly recommend this restaurant.
