I had been dreaming of visiting Egypt for 20 years, and booking with Journey to Egypt was exactly the way to do it!
We booked a Cairo-Luxor tour, and started getting great client service from the minute we sent the first information request. Osama was super patient with all our questions. The itinerary was put together according to our preferences, but the great thing is that we didn't have to do anything other than book our flight in and out of Egypt and make decisions about preferences on hotels, dates, tours, etc.
We were welcomed at the airport by Mohamed, a super professional guide, and got great support with the visa procedure, currency exchange, immigration procedures, etc.
On the next day we flew to Luxor, where Osama met us at the airport and took us to the Karnak temple. He stayed with us, guided and supported us all the time we were in Luxor, which we enjoyed a lot. Among other things, he organized extra visits for us beyond what was included in the tour, which were great experiences and a lot of fun.
Needless to say that the sites we visited there completely blow our minds! We learned a lot about ancient Egyptian civilizations and about a lot of things that we had no idea about.
The hotel Osama had booked for us in Luxor was great. Even with a tight agenda, we had time to relax at the pool with a Nile view and watch incredible sunsets.
After Luxor, we went back to Cairo to visit the Pyramids, the Egyptian Museum and the next day the Mohamed Ali mosque, some Coptic churches and an ancient Synagogue; and later to the Khan Al-Khalili market Our guide in Cairo was Helpis, who was very knowledgable, kind and supportive throughout. She helped us navigate the market and find what we were looking for and bargain for the pieces to get better prices.
Aside from the GREAT customer service end-to-end, the highlight of our trip was being shown around these magnificent sites by passionate and knowledgeable people who tailored the tours and itineraries to our needs and preferences.
This helped us a lot with feeling more secure as well, as we don't speak Arabic and would have had a harder time communicating and finding our way around.
We were also able to ask questions about anything, ranging from the sites' ancient history to modern Egyptian culture and customs.
We would recommend Journey to Egypt 100% and hope to visit again some time soon!
