“Our best Hot-air Balloon trip in Luxor”
Reviewed 1 February 2013

Well organised, easy to reach, correct service, and a lot of experiences included.
We have flown a few times before, and we consider this trip in January 2013 to be the best one. It was a long, nearly 50 minute flight, in fine weather conditions, with a lot of sightseeing over the whole West Bank in Luxor, from different altitudes up to 1500 feet/500 m and angles - the captain could maneuver the Balloon skillfully allowing everyone in the basket to see 360 degrees around.
Our very best regards and thanks for this adventure!

“A wonderful way to end a perfect week on the Nile”
Reviewed 1 February 2013

Everyone from the ground staff to the pilot to the drivers were professional and polite. It was an experience we will never forget and we are so glad that we chose to do it on our last day in Egypt.

“The best”
Reviewed 20 January 2013 via mobile

We started our December holiday in Luxor with this amazing flight over the West Bank. Well worth it. You don't mind the early start, it's so exciting. Great service and organization, very friendly. The sights are breath taking. Loved the boat transfer. Would do it again. Virgin should rethink what for are they charging £199.

“Short and sweet”
Reviewed 18 January 2013

We took the early morning flight over the west Bank.
Arrangements for pickup, briefing, and preparation are smooth and efficient. Because the group was smaller (political situation, etc), we were not crowded, the basket is dvided into compartments and each can hold upto 6,but we were 4 to a compartment, so we had an unobstructed view and could take lot of photos. The benefit of the first flight is a beautiful sunrise reflected over the Nile, lighting up the West bank hills and Hathshepsut temple in beautiful colours. The disadvantage is that the first half of the flight is in near darkness.
The ride itself was not very eventful, we went up circled around a bit, and came down. I have seen balloons at other site(eg Cappadocia) where they go high, drop down low very close to the cliffs a few times during the flight - maybe the wind conditions are different here
You do get a great view of the Hathsehpsut temple, the various other funerary temples (Ramesseum, Medinat Habu, Seti II, etc). You get a very good perspective on the amazing number of tombs of nobles that have been excavated, or are being excavated. The view of the Nile and the East bank - Karnak temple, is also great.
A video photographer accompanied us on the flight, but he focused mainly on the passengers. If he had shot more of the scenery, I would have bought the DVD. He also was a bit of a pain, blinding us with the bright camera light. They did take some great shots from the ground with a camera, which they e-mailed to us.
The ride lasted about 40+ minutes - I wish it had been longer and had roamed further out, and risen higher.
