I have stayed at the Gaddis hotel from time to time. It is a small family hotel with clean rooms and a tidy clean restaurant and bar. The pool is smaller than other hotels but it is quiet and for the most part shaded on one side for relief from the direct heat of the sun. Nothing is a bother for the staff. Rooms have everything you want, t.v with Satellite, bathroom with shower over bath, clean beds, linen and towels are changed regularly or daily. Room Service for meals is cheap, fast and efficient and always served with a smile. Laundry costs are very low and I take advantage of that with my laundry being done before I come home so when I do get back I simply open my case and hang up my clothes.

We visited the Gaddis during the Revolution when it was a bit short on tourists. The bar and lounge are really comfortable and well designed. You can sit in an open inside lounge area, in the pub or at the swimming pool. It is easy to sit alone, have a beer, smoke a shisha and catch up on e-mail if you want. It would also be easy to hang out in a group or mingle with other tourists. The staff was friendly but didn't invade our privacy. As a female traveler I give it the stamp of approval for no--hassle, low-stress and friendly hanging-out. I had a few snacks (tahini,, baba ghanoush & salad). They could have been a bit bigger but they were cheap and fresh. The bar has a disco at night and seems to be a lot of fun but I was too tired to go!

Lovely food at the Gaddis. I'm a vegetarian so the options were fewer, but its really reasonable, very fresh and served with a smile by lovely friendly waiters
