Stayed here as part of a multi centre holiday. Fantastic view of the Nile - perfect watching the sun set after a mamoth day of sightseeing. Looks a bit dowdy from outside but the reception is fairly plush. The room are a bit dated but it;s not the end of the world - lets be honest, you don't go to Luxor for 5* hotels! Really good location, out of the way from the big hotels but within walking distance to Luxor Temple, Luxor Museum and the Mummification Museum. You could walk to Karnak but I wouldn't advise it, you'd be too tired to walk around the Temple!
Food is good, and drinks are affordable. Yes, you do get hassle outside the hotel but we were never threatened and it' true, a firm 'no' and you don;t get asked twice - some people are making it sound worse than it is - remember it's Africa!
All in all, good location, comfortable, friendly and does the trick after a hard day sightseeing in the sun!
