“Great place for a good price”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

I'm currently staying here and honestly is hard to think about Cairo, Luxor is such a small city with an incredible charm, and astonish culture and history. In the hotel I was able to swim in the pool (very small, but yet clean and in the shade) after a hell train ride and rest on a clean spacious room while being right next to downtown and 2 minutes walk from the Nile broad walk. Staff is friendly and curious, I liked that they want to know about they're guests. I am traveling Egypt at a very tumultuous time, and I forgot about it all in here. If you are on a budget yet your want more this is the place.

My Mom and I stayed here during the Revolution and we were really appreciated the kindness and care shown to use at the Gaddis. It was a little empty when we were there because of the political issues in Egypt, and I imagine that when it is full it must be a very bustling and vibrant place. It is a really well designed space with a pool and nice bar and "hang out" area. The wifi worked really well and the rooms were fresh and clean with nice balconies. The area around the hotel was really great for us too. After a hard day of being hassled by (often intimidating) souvenir salespeople, the community around the Gaddis was quiet, friendly and peaceful. There is also a very cheerful British-style pub (The King's Head) about a block away. Great value and highly recommended.

This is a very good hotel to stay in Luxor. It has a swimming pool, restaurant, good rooms, and very nice people.
Cleaning is ok, restaurant has good food for good prices. Every place has air conditioning so you can really enjoy being there.

Room Tip: ask for a room at the back as luxor never sleeps

Best hotel by far I've stayed at in Egypt! Super friendly staff, reasonable prices, and nice rooms with powereful air conditioning!

Having spoken to other tourists at the sites, many said they were paying far more than we were for 5 star hotels, but our 3 star had better rooms and toilets (not always a guarentee in egypt) than theirs for a lower price!

If you need anything at all, the Gaddis staff will get it for you. They have free wifi, a restaurant and bar (quite good food for only 35 egyptian pounds), and lovely rooms. They even helped put together a birthday surprise for me when my friend asked!

Centrally located, rooms a westerner will feel at home in, and the nicest staff you could find - the Gaddis may be a 3 star hotel, but it's a 5 star in my book!
