Owner description: The tomb of King Tut was discovered in the Valley of the Kings in 1922 by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon.

Don't let anyone ever tell you it's not worth it to pay the extra ~$10USD to see King Tut's tomb. Yes, it is very small in comparison to other tombs. But IT'S KING TUT'S TOMB! And it's the only tomb with an actual mummy inside. King Tut's sarcophagus is inside, too. Rumor has it authorities are considering locking up Tut's tomb to prevent further erosion to the tomb as has been done with others like Nefertari (the "Sistine Chapel" of Ancient Egypt). In collaboration with Spanish and Swiss experts, an exact replica just opened in May 2014 giving credence to the rumor. If you've managed to come all the way to Luxor, Egypt - don't hold back. See King Tut's tomb, too. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see something extraordinary with your own eyes. Photography is not allowed. Access requires walking down/up a few stairs. Because it's so small, you probably won't spend more than 5-10 minutes inside.

well its a lil bit expensive to see it.... 100egp

tut was not that important.... he is just famous coz his tomb was found intact with all the treasures....

in his tomb lies his mummy and a sarcophagus but everything else, including other sarcophagus, mask and treasures are in cairo museum....

there are not many carvings in his tomb and its by far the smallest....

We paid the extra to see the tomb because we flew half way around the world to go to Egypt...it was worth it. It's a small tomb but there is a mummy inside and that made it worth it to me. While Tut died young and there isn't a lot of history there...the tomb is the most significant because it was one of the only tombs found with everything enact. Most other tombs had everything stolen. It's small but significant...pay the extra money to see it and you won't be let down.

This tomb may be small to the pharaohs standards :D , but it is still really beautiful, and it is the only tomb to hold it's owner inside (Tut is still inside in a glass container). I think it is really beautiful and it is well worth the money.

Wow to see this tomb was a must the colours have kept so bright. Our tour guide told us no photos but we were offered to take one on the quiet, don't do it they want money and if you say no they call police. Our tour guide LAST PHAROAH was everything a tour guide should be he was funny, informative, and his knowledge was great.
