All Inclusive is a fantastic service if you like to eat the same food day after day ?? Even with the themed nights, the odd dish was different , the other dishes were just renamed? Fro example one night oriental rice another night same dish as vermicelli rice!! The fresh juice drinks at breakfast tasted as if they were made from powder.

The food isn't the main point. The pool filtration system wasn't working or was part working as only 3 of the inlet points were pumping water into the pool(when I say working I have more pressure from my cold tap) out of the six in the pool. This might be the reason why several people had upset stomach cramps.

Over all the Hotel is ok I wouldn't say it was as 4 star standard but would make a good 3 star grade.

this is a great hotel for all the family have nothing to say other than a great time had by myself and partner and my 76 year old mother. they couldnt do enough for us. the manager was at hand to great us by name after some internet exchanges and they gave us fab rooms next to each other. the only way to go is to have the full nile view though. and the only minus and its a small one was the bath was tiny. hard for my mother to get in and out of. can only praise my stay there having stayed at the steigenberger and the el luxor on two previous trips. the steigenberger is very grand but not as nice and the el luxor had nice staff but lousy rooms and food. great pool though. anyway i would recommend this hotel and will definitely go back there. give it a try.

Mum and I stayed here for her 60th birthday and it was simply wonderful. The food was varied and excellent very pleased that there was always a local option in fact the only blip was the oriental night but that is just because battered and fried food isn't so good on a buffet getting a bit soft. Thanks to the wonderful egg chef who showed me how to eat traditional Ful Medames (broad beans) for breakfast absolutely divine. The waiter who greeted everyone with "Smile" and "Its my job" in response to thanks for top ups or clearing dishes, instead of grating was a comedy joy. The cats who live in the grounds, the floating pool which enables you to lie on the Nile listening to the boats, the lapping of the water and the call to prayer, watching the fishermen, the feluccas being towed in order for people to enjoy their sunset cruise, the delicious lentil soup for lunch, the lovely gardens, eating breakfast and dinner on the terrace, the view of the Nile and to the Valley of the Kings beyond, the proximity to everything, the whole package just brilliant and so relaxing. And all this at half board with a Nile view cost the same for 6 nights as 3 nights did in a higher starred hotel in Giza. I booked the expensive 5 star (top 5 in tripadvisor) Giza hotel as "the treat" but honestly no contest after Iberotel we were sorely disappointed (a more limited breakfast, eating in freezing a/c restaurants, evicted from your sunlounger at 5pm!) and wanted to get back to our sanctuary on the Nile.

Hotel reception, public areas and gardens are lovely, particularly the gardens really beautiful with fantastic views of the Nile. However rooms and corridors are very dark, there was a 3 hour power cut too (thank goodness we had torches meant for egyptian tombs!) . There is a small lounge bar with a limited menu during the day but it has a snooker table taking up much of one side of the room. The pool is on a pontoon on the nile adjoining the hotel.........there is no shallow end and its 1.40 metres at its most shallow...far to deep for children under 9/10. Mostly adults / teen clientele on all inclusive deals ............children were not made to feel welcome in the pool area. Would not recommend to families with young children or to anyone with disabilities due to large numbers of steps and dark interior..

Just come back from a week in Luxor at this hotel. Beds and pillows were really comfortable, everywhere was clean, staff were friendly. Lots of sunbeds in the shade and in the sun. Amazing view over/across the nile to the valley of the kings. Pool was lovely. We had chicken curry in the hotel's Chinese restaurant and it was really tasty. Couldn't really fault the hotel at all except not much entertainment but then it's so well situated just go for a walk along the corniche. We got a better exchange rate in the HSBC next door than I could get in the UK. Try Hassan in the boat called May next to the swimming pool for booking your trips, it's bound to be cheaper than you can book with your travel agent.
