We felt we were taking a big chance on booking a $35 USD per night (with breakfast included) hotel, but we liked the sound of the place. We were not disappointed, in fact, it was great. It has about 20 rooms on two floors, with a large second floor restaurant open to the outside. Our room on the second floor was large, clean, comfortable and had a balcony. An advantage is that it is located on Luxor's West Bank away from most of the hustle and hassle, the disadvantage is that there are fewer choices for restaurants (but enough good ones that it was not a problem). There are historical sites on both sides of the Nile, so regardless of where you choose to stay, the ferry across the river is part of the adventure.
