“Terrible”
Reviewed 21 November 2009

We got put in this hotel for one day (THANK GOD) to wait for our night flight. Anyone who would book into this place must be scrapping the bottom of the barrel to say the least.

No way would we have slept in the beds and when they were called to prayers it sounded like they were in our room.

The place has damp or something climbing up the walls, see the picture.

No way would we have gone out at night, we were just glad to get out of the place.

We did have a meal in the restaurant before we left and that was as we had expected....inedible, God only knows where the meat came from and to be honest don't want to know.

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE.

We were put up in this "hotel" by a tour guide for the pyramids. This place was deplorable. Dirty, slimy, fithly, dusty, dirty - every negative adjective you can think of applies to this sketchy, shady hotel. At one point, my friend and I (two females traveling alone) were convinced that we would be kidnapped and sold into the sex slave trade. No joke. We tried to flee. We have stayed at some sketchy places, but this place was fear inducing. We were so freaked out that we took a cab to the airport, but there were no flights leaving. We tried to take a nap, but the flies buzzing around our heads kept us from falling into the deep slumber escape that we sooooo needed. That, coupled with the construction and donkeys outside our window, made us want to slit our wrists in order to find relief. Luckily, we only were sentenced to a day of this horridness.

We stayed two nights at this hotel and loved it. Although the room might need some refurbishment the hotel has enough assets to compensate this. First of all their roof terrace including a swimming pool (not big but large enough) and secondly the friendly employees.

The biggest improvement is the breakfast but on the other hand we never found a decent breakfast in Egypt.

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely big foyer and restaurant. Two bars and a nice rooftop swimming pool.
The room was smallish, not very clean and in poor condition. The door wouldn't open properly, the toilet was dodgy and there were various bathroom fittings laying on the bathroom beanch awaiting reattachment. There was also a lot of street noise.
The breakfast was really good with a selection of cheeses, cucumber, tomato, some local dishes, toast, croissants, unlimited tea and coffee and fresh fruit salad.

Hi!
I wouldn’t ever go back to this dirty and unpleasant hotel! I wouldn’t ever recommend this hotel to anyone because:

Hotel is dirty

Manager was drunk and he was asking us about buying alcohol for him using our passports

Staff was really unpleasant and quite rude because they only smiled when you gave them a tip

Most of the staff didn’t speak English really well

Carpets in a hotel including swimming pool were dirty and tore

The representing person from Travco (The transport company) used sexual harassment towards one of our friends (Women)

Food was the same every day. Moreover, we must wait at least 40 minutes for soup

Rooms were dirty and unpleasant , bathrooms were leaking and they were dirty

Swimming pool was disgusting , water was so cold and every armchair was dirty and tore
