We stayed with a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. At first they put us in a Jumbo tent, that is spacious enough. They added an extra bed for 1 of our children, but had no facilities to attach a musquito net for that bed. But they solved this by giving us an extra tent, although that meant we had to split ourselves up.
The bathrooms were very dated.
Food was acceptable but nothing more. Indian oriented so not child friendly. And for sure not in abundance. Choices were very limited.
When we wanted to go for the Happy hour drink (25% discount on the drinks), they informed us it was not valid on that day...so we needed a few discussions at the reception desk, and obtained it finally.
The entrance of the national park is very near, so that is a +.
As mentioned in an other review, unfortunately we were NOT accompanied by security staff to our tents everytime.

This camp is set on the river bank facing the Masai Mara, and is unique! The tents are luxurious and spacious, the food is exquisite, and the staff are absolutely wonderful. Truly a place of leisure and relaxation, on the door-step of the legendary Masai Mara.

Tents are a bit dated but very comfortable and spacious. Tha bathroom with 2 sinks makes it much easier when in need to get ready early morning at the same time.
Elecricity is a bit of a problem as goes off at night and....is really all black! They provide a torch and lods of assistance with the MAsai securities always present and ready to help; they will always walk you back to the tent! Food is good, specially teh barbecue night outside around a falo'!!! - Amazing to wake up with cowes browsing around your tent and monkeys jumping around on ur terrace, rememebre to lock ur tent at all times as monkeys can be very naughty!

Tents are a bit dark but, u soon get used to it as u get a feeling of safety at all times.
Great Masai real camp close by, ask your guide to take u fro a visit, u might like to bring soem treats as lods of kids around!!!
I woud definitely stay again!

I would stay there again but it's nothing to write home about. The staff is attentive. The food is decent. Wine overpriced. Kinda dark. Tents are a nice touch but starting to show their age. Electricity was good and shut downs a minor inconvenience although couldn't figure out the schedule as it was not as advised.

Hard to provide a rating.....First impression was great -- large tented rooms with nice bathroom - dual vanity & separate tower & bath tub. Unfortunately, had problems with electricty & didn't have power for room most of my 3 night stay --- while expected limited power due to scheduled times without power - I actually had none during time expected power & no other available rooms. Offered a free drink for troubles which hardly seemed adequate. Power outage was limited to a section of the property so most rooms had no problems at all. Food was good.

Well, first of all, the idea of having tents instead of rooms is brilliant! The idea of staying in the
middle of a forest in a tent is to inculcate the safari feeling. A very beautiful place overall, The staff are extremely friendly! you wont see such friendly staff anywhere else!! they give you a very homely feeling. The tents are strong and are very beautiful, they have everything there (well, except a bathroom door), well furnished tents, although, there will be no AC, so it can get stuffy at times. the food and the chef are great!! and the place is not very far away from the Mara National Park. Excellent place to stay, Highly recommended for people who go with family or friends. its also an excellent destination for couples for their honeymoon, great place!!

Staying in a "leisure tent camp" was one of the things I was most looking forward to with our ET African Journey tour, and Mara Leisure Camp far exceeded my wildest dreams. We arrived in the dark after a confusing but exhilarating day, and were met by Masai with hot towels. Porters took our bags and led us with flashlights to our tent. After entering through the velcro/zippered doorway, I burst into tears. Gleaming wood floors and colonial furniture, native accessories, and a huge bed draped with mosquito netting. Behind the room divider was a dressing area and an enormous bathroom with vanity area, large tiled shower, and a tub the size of an SUV.

The next morning we were able to appreciate the lush grounds, the wooden balcony, and the pool area. The main lodge is also beautiful, and never have I had such warm hospitality. From office personnel to porters to waiters to the chef, everyone went out of their way to see to our every need. The eight people in our tour group were the only guests at the hotel and we were really made to feel special.

The food was very good, and since my family are all vegetarian, we often ordered combinations not on the menu, but they were prepared and served with smiles all around. If I could give more than five stars, I would. This could be the nicest hotel I've ever visited.

Room Tip: If you can get one, the "J" designated rooms (for "Jumbo") are clearly the nices...
