The Oldarpoi Camp is owned by Maasai, who will do everything to make your experience a truly remarkable and authentic one. The camp is located just 2km off Sekenani Gate of the Maasai Mara National Park. It is on a slight hill, so you have a fantastic outlook from the tents. The location out of the gate means you don't have to pay the entrance fee, if you are not going to the park. And as there are many options to spend great days, e.g. visits to Maasai villages or walking tours through the beautiful countryside. Of course a trip to the National Reserve is not to be missed, it is only minutes from the camp away.
The camp is affiliated with the organisation "I See Maasai Development Initiative", which runs a school for more than 200 children and a rescue centre for Maasai girls. The money from the camp supports this great initiative. During our stay we had the chance to visit and even help within these projects. From my point of view this is the best way to stay in Maasai country.More
