i travelled to maji moto camp in kenya for the first time with my wife and two kids of 9 and 14 years. It was difficult to choose a place to holiday because we had to cater for each of them.Maji moto turned out to be what we really needed.
The place magically unfolds to the irresistable activities of the wild. The breathtaking view of the sunset the hills to the morning drive in the wild.
We also went for birdwatching which was really amazing to see bird species that could only be found in africa.
the walking safaris was the climax of our stay at this terrific camp especiaaly for my teenager boy who is full of adventure.Through our safari we met and socialized with the masai people and also saw so small wild animals. The walk dumped us at masai mara national reserve just in time to witness the wildbeest migration which was spectacular.
I thank maji moto because it caters for the different tastes and preferences of people.

This is the place where hospitality is invented.
Absolutly stunning views and good facilities.
The enthusiasm of the team is not a gimmick, it's real.

Many thanks! We had a wonderful time.

We were on our way to Tanzania to continue with our honey moon that we had started with eyes on Africa in diani Kenya.Maji moto played host to us on our way to Tanzania. i found the location of the camp to be exclusive for an outdoor couple like us.it was in the heart of plains and made of very cheap materials made it blend with nature which is something that really caught my eye.
This renowned home for the Masai people was our home for 2days.We had a culture walk where we saw the real Masai people.i had i chance to enter into their house which was tiny and you have to bend to enter,
We appreciated the wine in sun downer glasses that were given at the camp.Every one seems to be friendly and nice in Kenya even the Masai are very good people.
We never had enough time to explore maji moto and next time we will be back for the mountain climbing and the cycling.i think there is more fun at maji moto.
Thank you Roman and Neva.We wish to see you because your are doing a good job.

My friends and i had for several months talked about taking a trip out of town.that was why we decided to replenish ourselves with a week trip to majimoto camp in Kenya where we hoped to have a lot of fun and adventure.
At maji moto we took a walking safari combined with wildlife tracking. We had a Masai guide who was really versed with the Masai people and the nature. The walk took us four days in which we covered about 60km.Through the walk we were able to see the Masai people and also learn about their way of life something i only see in documentaries.I personally saw Masai in their real home and also saw them do their high jump thing. As we walked we saw different type of vegetation and wildlife. we finally ended up in Masai Mara national reserve the 'home of the big five" as they call it.
Sitting back i can't believe i walked 60km ironically it was all full of fun and more fun.
i love maji moto and would describe it with one word 'FUN"

've just returned from a month in Kenya, and of all the amazing places I stayed Maji Moto is the one that stands out. As soon as you arrive you realise this is just such an special place. The camps location overlooking the Loita plains provides the most amazing views that I don't think I could ever tire of. Our Masai guides, Sankale and Tomboy made us feel so welcome, walking with them through the open plains and learning about the nature of the area is an experience that will stay with me for a long time. Laughing round the camp fire about our Western ways (explaining that we buy packaged milk from the supermarket rather than visiting a cow) is also something I will always remember!

After Maji Moto I continued onto the Masai Mara for some amazing game drives. I'm so glad that I took the time to visit Maji Moto first as it allowed me to appreciate a whole different side to Kenya and the Masai culture. The road to the Masai Mara is also pretty awful so Maji Moto is a prefect respite on route!

Thanks again for an amazing stay, I will be back :)

I will always remember Maji moto as long as i live.Truly it was an experience like no other. The camp had a setting of its own:it was in dramatic plains of Loita as well as a bushland and Savannah. All this was a striking backdrop for the wildlife...To begin with the Masai culture. The cultural walk to the nearby native Masai village was really educational and fun and interesting. One amazing fact is that the camp has also embraced the Masai culture by the style they camp was built in.This made me feel as if i was one of the Masai because i was also able to buy some of their clothes which i occasionally wore. The camp with its African style was blending into its surrounding very well.
We had exciting game drives. As we drive through the breathtaking scenery,we saw unique wildlife .The landscape was also spectacular. As we explored the stunning terrain, i aws able to see why Kenya aws the hosts of the big five. All this seemed logic to our guide who was a masai too but to me it was all a new world but not a part of every day life.
The camp had its own highly acclaimed chef who offered exciting cuisines with a blend of both local and international cuisines which were accompanied by wine.............. imagine taking wine in the wilderness!!!!!
After the game drive, we had dinner which was set in a truly traditional style under the African night and entertainment was offered by the Masai. Believe me this people can really jump..We had a camp fire before going to our bed down in our serene safari tents.Around the fire, our guide told us alot of stories.
Unfortunately, our stay came to an end.i couldn't believe that our 5 day stay was over yet deep down i felt and still feel there is more i could have experienced. And it is for this reason that i will be BACK AGAIN MAJI MOTO. I love you Kenya.....................................
