Our second visit and one of our favourites. We had room No 4. No views but pleasant and spotlessly clean. Lovely balcony with lounger. Hot water bottles were provided at night. Bathroom spacious with everything you need. Lovely welcome on arrival. The Ashnil don't offer the best food choices, however it is tasty and made to a high standard whatever you choose and the friendliness of the staff make up for that. No cakes were offered out this trip but you still get a great vibe here. The Ashnil really do go out of there way to make your stay one not to forget. There is a sitting area overlooking the river and the hippos, wonderful. Evening time a fire is built where you can enjoy a pre-dinner drink and we did. We love it here. Location in the park is great. You do have to consider the length of time it takes to arrive there. Quite a way from the main high way and on a not so great road. Before we checked into the Ashnil we stopped for lunch at a different lodge taking a game drive just after and forfeiting the evening game drive. A decision that suited both ourselves and the driver. Clothes were washed and returned promptly. If you have medical issues request a room near the reception as it a large lodge and you can be walking a good distance to and from rooms. The shop is large with good supply of gifts. Wi Fi hit and miss.

On our arrival we were greeted beautifully, we felt so special, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Made it so easy to settle in.
Loved our Glamping Tents they had had all the necessities.
The camp site is amazing located on a bend of the Mara River so you could see Hippos playing all the time.
Food & service was very good.
We loved our time spent at Ashnil.
