My Wife and I stayed in Siana for 3 nights 4 days after our week long "Wild Africa Experience" through Serengeti and I really have to recommend this Serene place . The tents are clean and spacious. The restaurant and lounges comfortable with an excellent selection of menu choices that will satisfy any appetite.... complimented by excellent staff to go with the property... I WILL BE DEFINITELY GOING BACK WITH MY FAMILY OVER CHRISTMAS!!!!

Room Tip: request for the Acacia Wing :)

I agree with Chrissy, 201008. This was the last of the camps we stayed in on a ten day Virgin Vacations safari and it was the plainest of the three. It was the most tent like, and the services were minimal. I set up a massage there and when I arrived was told that they had double booked the time and the other person got there first. The food was adequate and healthy enough, but not nearly prepared with the care as the other hotels. The pool actually looked unhealthy. I did love the naturalist who was there and enjoyed his talks.

We stayed here as part of a three week safari to Kenya and Tanzania, Siana Springs was our last stay in Kenya, we spent three nights here. Compared to the other camps/lodges of a similar standard which we had stayed in during our trip to Kenya, we felt disappointed with our stay at Siana.
The tent we were accommodated in was the furthest away from the main building and difficult to find at night as the signs for the tents were confusing. The tent was comfortable but was rather tired looking. (Having said this they did move us to another tent the following day which was slightly better.) At all the other camps we had to have a guide to take us back to our tent at night, we were told to find our own way back at Siana Springs, which I found intimidating as the camp is very overgrown. This is an eco camp so we found the times the electricity was turned off to be inconvenient at times. We didnt enjoy the buffet style food here either. We felt in our opinion that the pool area was in need of some renovation and cleaned, we didnt feel we could swim in the pool. We didnt find the staff as accommodationg and as friendly as other camps. Also, this camp is at least a 40 minute drive from the main gate of the Maasi Mara, yes you can see the local Maasi herding their animals and the countryside is beautiful, but this is an added journey to get into the reserve and start viewing the wildlife. We would also recommend flying in if possible as we had a very long, tiring, bumpy drive to get to Siana Spring and felt shattered by the time we arrived. This, however, depends on where you are travelling from of course. We did go on a balloon ride while in the Maasai Mara which we highly recommend, it was amazing, and so was the wildlife and scenary in this area. But we wouldnt stay at Siana Springs again, we would recommend a camp inside the reserve.

Room Tip: We prefered a tent closer to the main building due to the walk back to the tent at night in dark wit...

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a safari. This is a wonderful property and I would not hesitate to return. The tents are large and very comfortable. They have full plumbing with a nice hot shower and enough space and mirrors for two people to get ready for the day. There is a sitting area in front of the tent to relax in the evening. The food was very good and the staff is helpful and can answer any questions you might have. The hot water bottle they place in your bed when they turn the bed down is more than welcome. Staff will come around in the morning with a wake up call if you wish. The only draw back is the ride from the Maasai Mara Reserve over a terrible road. If anyone has back problems they would not appreciate this ride several times a day. The gift shop is very nice with very well priced items. I would enjoy spending more time at this camp on another holiday.

I recently stayed here for four nights as part of a Safari holiday and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The camp is deceptively large and built into a jungle style area. The majority of the lodgings are tents but each has full plumbing and electrical supply. They are very comfortable and quite cool and a good place to escape the heat of the day. They are also placed away from the main pathways through the camp so they feel quite private. However they cannot be locked when you are away from them either out of the camp or at a meal so I'd advise leaving any valuables at reception which will look after them free of charge.

The main attraction of the place for me was the variety of wildlife that can be seen wandering the site. A troop of Colubus monkeys live in the many trees that are throughout and surrounding the camp and Water Buck graze on the lawns in the centre of the camp and around the tents. Also present are Mongoose, many varieties of birds and Vervet monkeys.

The staff are all very helpful and friendly and the site and the tents are very well looked after. At night there are staff to help guide you back to your tent should you find yourself getting a bit lost in the dark. Torches are also provided in the tents for this purpose.

The food was of a high standard and there was plenty of it. Drinks were reasonably priced and comparable with the other lodge we visited on our holiday.

Entertainment was provided of an evening by a guitar player who performed by a fire just outside the restaurant area and Masai villagers also attend to give talks and dance for the guests entertainment.

The site is away from the main Masai Mara reserve and it took about 30 minutes to get to the gateway into the reserve on each drive. Be warned that the roads are very bumpy both inside and outside the Masai Mara. It is served by the Safari Link air service with an airstrip about 5 minutes from the site.

Room Tip: Some rooms are quite tucked away so if you have mobility issues or just a bit lazy then ask for a lo...

This is a tented, very clean and comfortable camp. The food was excellent, and the staff was very accommodating. They took excellent care of us!
You are a 20 minute ride away from the Masai Mara Reserve, where we saw every animal up close you can imagine. We watched a hyena soaking in a water hole, female lions and their cubs feasting on a wildebeest, hundreds of zebras as far as you could see, elephants literally feet from our safari van, and so much more. It was such an amazing place to visit, our family will always cherish our experience there. We all loved it!!

I loved this camp so much. We stayed here for 2 nights, but I really wish we could have stayed longer as it was amazing. The lodge itself is completely hidden so you cannot even see it when you approach, you enter the lobby through a covered bush walkway, which at night time feels very surreal. Out of all the places we stayed during our safari this was by far my favourite and made me feel like i was really camping. The rooms themselves from the outside look like big canvas tents, which they are, but when you unzip your tent it has a bathroom, which comes complete with toilet and hot shower so you have all the feel of camping, but with the luxuries you would get at a hotel -perfect - glamping!! I loved the layout of the lodge, which had an open restaurant and a log fire, which you could sit around at night. The staff were all very friendly and i loved the masai performance after dinner around the fire, it all felt very magical and exciting. It made me feel like a kid again. Would 100% go back to the Masai Mara and stay at Siana Springs.
