Lovely tents - decorated in Raj colonial style .
Lots of brass fittings, paw print ash trays , lamps and a phonogram.
One tent had sofas and drinks available from a fridge or shelf ( help-yourself anytime) . Ice available . Comfy sofas
USB charging available
Another tent for dining, long table - nicely decorated
One called the library tent - charge cameras etc..
Tents have bathrooms with twin sinks ( brass) loo and partially concealed shower.
Bucket showers - hot water put through large flap in tent 6am
Can have hot water for showers anytime
Tents feel well designed but simple
Tents 1-3 are on one side of communal, areas . Tents 4-10 are in the other side
All furniture looks like it came from " Out of Africa.com"
Lovely old-fashioned deck chairs around fire.
The tents have lots of shrubs between them which gives some privacy but might need to zip up flaps between tents if shrubbery not sufficient to give total privacy
Number 1 and 10 are honeymoon/ family tents and have hot water on tap . Bush showers for other tents
Nice food ( vegetarian)
BTW - drinks were included although we were told they were not.
They also issue you with a collapsible plastic bottle ( good plastic - not the type that leach nasty chemicals into the water)
you can fill it from the water cooler in the dining tent and take it with you on game drives or use it around camp.( And take it home with you !)
Staff were all lovely and helpful - loved our stay there.

( BTW - this camp is also not dismantled at the end of the season either . It takes 30 men to put up the dining tent alone!
So they just wash all the fabric and smarten it all up at the beginning of the season)

This site is truly paradise situated in the bush with spacious luxury tented accommodation positioned to give you privacy and with views to die for. The management Patrick and Sophie are the perfect hosts taking their meals with you sharing your daily experiences and giving you an insight into their lives in this amazing place . The staff are all so lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is first class and as good as you'd get in any top restaurants. The experience this camp offers I second to none you get bush breakfasts each morning as part of you morning game drive and sundowners in the evening where you sit and watch the sun set whilst enjoying a drink and some round a camp fire toasting snacks truest awesome experience. The game drives with our driver Francis were fantastic so exciting and Francis was a brilliant guide finding us all the big five numerous other species and so many different birds I lost count. His knowledge of wildlife and the area made each game drive so special and exciting and to finish of our last game drive not only did we have the pleasure of watching the elusive leopard but we were privalaged to watch him make a kill. Words aren't enough to describe this experience this trip come try it for yourself you won't be disappointed. Big thanks to Patrick, Francis and all the staff hope we see you again soon

From start to finish this camp offers an experience of a lifetime and if your planning a safari trip there is no other place to be. The camp site is luxury camping right in the thick of wildlife making for an exciting experience 24/7 Patrick and staff make you feel so welcome and it was lovely getting to know Patrick and Sophie as they shared the meals with you. Our game drives were so exciting and huge thanks to Francis for for making them with his spotting skills especially all the fantastic birds his knowledge and of course good company made each drive special and you couldn't wait for the next. This camp is a gem. Its unique location and setting (luxury tents in an actual bush -without fencing-creates a real sense of harmony with the surrounding nature), combined with the great management and staff (Patrick, Sophie, the guides and the staff go out of their way to make your stay memorable), the abundance of animals and the excellent food make it a wonderful destination. A plus is also the good wifi connection available in the lounge tent. Our best memories include sundowners in the wild (following our afternoon game drive, they lit an open fire and we had drinks and snacks while watching the sun set), breakfast in the wild (after our early morning game drive, we had a rich and diverse breakfast in the savannah), private dinner under the starts next to the tent, and the amazing star watching (the absence of any luminous pollution reveal incredibly many stars). In brief, we can't wait to go back.

This was my fourth visit to Kenya's Masai Mara region but my first to Elephant Pepper Camp and having previously stayed in 7 other camps this place completely blew them away. The hosts Patrick and Sophie were fantastic and really make you feel part of their extended family , sharing mealtimes and providing some great insights into their life and experiences in the African bush. The tents are spacious and well spaced giving a sense of being alone at one with nature. The food was simply amazing and as good as many restaurants here in the UK. The staff make you feel so welcome and you are free to wander around the camp during the day unlike some others I have stayed at and this freedom was much appreciated. In terms of the game driving activities the camp is very flexible with options for staying out longer for a bush breakfast or returning to camp , night drives and walks although we could not do a walk as the grass was too long and could have hidden predators. Our driver guide Francis was fantastic and had such an eye for spotting wildlife , a real bonus for me was the sheer number and variety of birds he was able to spot and identify. We had the pleasure of taking a sundowner with him every day watching the beautiful sunset and on two occasions we met up with the other guests for a full bar and bitings over an open fire in the middle of nowhere , it was simply magical. We had some wonderful sightings including lions hunting , two very rare black rhino and to cap it all on our very last game drive we watched a leopard hunting and make a kill of a large impala. I cannot describe how I felt at that moment as seeing the elusive leopard is one thing but watching him successfully hunt was something dreams are made of ! . Apologies for the long review but I could write all day about our time spent at this fabulous camp and we are already planning a return visit.
