“Good place”

I stayed here for 5 days and my experience was fairly good. Apart from lack of extra amenities, the place is excellent in service, food and staff. Accommodation and location was a plus. It is also secure and the guards are calm and friendly. I love the place.

Room Tip: Top floors are favorite for quietness and peaceful sleep

Pride Inn Mombasa despite having no recreation facility, the staff makes up for that. The restaurant is relatively very warm and often wondered why not open the large windows and safe the Ac cost. An open restaurant would have been very appropriate due to the strategic place the hotel is. Mercy was extremely very nice to us and we are so glad that solutions to our problem were responded to with ultimate urgency.

Room Tip: Top floor with an excellent view at the same cost

I stayed here for 4 nights attending a company event in Mombasa, and I loved the place simply because of hygiene levels and friendly attitude of the staff though not all. Hamsa was very good to us in the restaurant as well as Mercy at the reception. The chef too was kind enough to allow us prepare our Chinese dish, we felt honored. Rooms were very clean including the toilet and the corridors and breakfast was nice as well. The restaurant ambiance need to improve as well as the menu variety.

I travel quite a lot and especially within East and Central Africa but I find Mombasa quite appropriate city for business and leisure. PrideInn is among the hotels that are located within town within the safest location. This made my business trip so enjoyable and convenient. They have good service, good food, good internet and accommodation facilities too. I loved the place.

PrideInn Mombasa is one of those famous hotels in Mombasa that you will find it easy to locate. We found this hotel on line but we did not book immediately but we were lucky because we managed to get accommodation anyway. Seemingly, it is one of those hotels clients come to like not because of luxury but convenient, rates and staff attitude. It in the middle of town - major bus station, ferry, port and even the railway station. Staff are very helpful and the rooms very spacious. They got AC and fan as well in their rooms. Basically, nothing exciting but value for money. Will love to spend there once more

Room Tip: Take room 300, spacious nice kitchenette and very cool

We were in Mombasa to clear our car from the port and the Bus conductor recommended PrideInn Hotels, we took the option and surprisingly, the taxi driver knew very well where the hotel was, just a few blocks away from the main Bus station. We stayed here for 2 nights but as a business man, I would say it is the best offer for us. Very ideal location, next to all terminals, railway station is less than 500metres away same to bus station. Around 2 km away from Port and 5 from the airport. So much for the location. Staff are genuinely happy even though some need a little training but the environment is generally very pleasant. The rooms are larges and well ventilated and with both AC and overhead fan. Very clean premises and real good food especially Indian stuff that I decided to try. Breakfast has Swahili dishes and this reminds you you are at the Kenya coast every morning you go for breakfast. Mercy was very good at the reception and Phillip the Night man. Thanks for making our trip more of a leisure. My son loved the place.

Room Tip: I had no problem with rooms facing the main street. The street is a bit deserted at night

For a budget traveller, this hotel gives more than expected. I managed to secure a well air conditioned room with decent sleep comfort albeit overlooking the wall of another apartment therefore the view was not the best.

Stayed there overnight but had to leave early even before breakfast, the manager agreed to give me a meal voucher to compensate for the missed meal.

What did I not like? Being bang in the middle of the city centre, there was a lot of traffic noise from the streets below and I thought that perhaps a bit of thicker windows would reduce the noise. Everything else worked of and especially the friendly Jacky and Mercy receptionists.

Keep it up!

Dear Arthur, We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and found our options we offered acceptable. We are glad that you had a decent sleep and you found the room comfortable.

We have taken note of the challenges you stated and I promise, we shall be addressing the issues soon, especially thicker windows to help reduce the traffic noise. Management also appreciate your commendation on our receptionists and we will surely appreciate them in a special way. Lawrence Kinyua, General Manager.
