Stayed there during my time in Beijing. Great and very helpful staff. Rooms are huge, toilets are so clean and nice. Good wi-fi!
A lot of different nationalities stayed there, which was very cool. It was just great

This was my first time traveling internationally and staying in a hostel, but staying here was a great communal experience. I felt safe the entire time. The staff was friendly and helped with check-in and setting up tours. The tour I took to the Great Wall was good. The lounge was a great place to meet fellow international travelers each day. The food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. The hostel did fun themed activities during the week.

The actual room was bare and warm in the summer, but considering the price paid, it was an amazing value. There were cabinets in the room with lockers for valuables. The roommates were either friendly, or kept to themselves, but everyone was respectful. The bathrooms were clean, but sometimes had a foul smell, but again for the price paid, it was an amazing value.

Overall, I had a great time at the hostel and was very happy I stayed there.

We originally booked this hostel for 2 nights, but ended up staying for 10 as it was so nice.

We sampled the private rooms and the 8 bed dorm, both were cheap, clean, spacious and comfortable. The 8 bed got down to 30cyn a night. There are lockers provided for safety, but bring your own padlock.

The hostel has some free entertainment/food. On Wednesdays the have a free hotpot party and on Fridays the have dumping making followed by dump, ing eating. Both are great fun, an easy way to meet people and include free food, what more could you ask for?

The hostel has a reasonable bar, decent enough food, though it is a little priced. The seating is comfortable and ample, with a pleasant outside area for the summer.

They will also book tours for you, but they will also help you do things solo without you having to pay them any money. We were also able to obtain a certain travel book under the counter that is 'banned' in China, but you didn't hear that from me.

The building may lack character and be a little far from the metro, but these small issues don't let it down too much. You can also sample lots of cheap local food on the way to the metro. There are also a couple of friendly dogs, a snooker table, wifi and computer access though the latter is chargeable.

All in all a nice hostel and despite it being mid February it was relatively busy, in fact people were turning up from other hostels saying were dead and very cold, neither of which applied to Sanlitune.

This is the third hostel within this family that I have stayed with and once again the experience was amazing! They seem to be overrun with staff, all wearing the same hoodies, great English and always friendly and helpful! I went on 4 of their organised tours all were great, some include food but all include transport!

The bar area is brilliant, met so many new friends here. First day I arrived they had a dumpling party, Wednesday they had hot pot party and best of all it's all free!

The building is little worn around the edges but its to be expected with somewhere this busy! If I had to make any bad comment...the toilet paper dispensers are on the wall OUTSIDE the toilet! Why I don't know!

I have stayed at this hostel on several times since my arrival in China 4 years ago, and it will always remain my personal favorite! I will pick this placeover any 5 star hotel because of the friendly staff, the access to the tousit spots as well as its closness to the famous Bar Street.By far the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen!! (cleaned every 30 mins) The best prices anywhere you could find in Beijing! Also got to meet so many new friends! Way better than a hotel where all you get is a room. I am giong back there this spring again for a visit.

Room Tip: If you are traveling with friends you can all stay in the same room

One of the best places I've stayed at for overal value and location for the centre of Beijing and hina tours. All the staff are helpful and extremely friendly all of the time. You will struggle to find a cheaper more reliable location anywhere in Beijing, especially for back packers.

I didn't book this hostel but I got information from other traveler. And I went there straight away without booking. I was able to check in right away in dorm with 8 bed. The room was clean. The bathroom wasn't clean enough. I forgot my toiletry bag in the shower but it had disappeared. And the staff there couldn't find it for me. Anyway, I shouldn't have forgotten it. It was my fault. They have excellent cafe in the first floor with very reasonable price. You don't need to go out to eat. And it's very good place to meet others. I'd recommend this hostel. And location is brilliant.
