Our Asia trip started in Beijing, and we landed at 6am. We were really tired when we arrived to the hotel around 7.30 am. We knew that they had a policy for check in around 2 pm so we asked them to put our bags in the baggage room when we went out for some breakfast. I asked when we could check in, just because of our early arrival and very little sleep, we wanted our room asap. Then she said that the room will be done around 9 am. We were so happy that they let us check in that early! Great service!
The room was cute, and clean! As many others wrote, we also had a fish and Rubik’s cube. Bathroom was nice with a big shower cabin. We had a flat screen TV, but only with Chinese channels. The only thing I missed in the room was a wardrobe, somewhere to put the big bag. Also, the bed was very hard. Though, during the rest of our trip, I understood that’s how it is around China and Japan.
Staff’s English is not good at all. It was only one girl that spoke a little bit of English. Or else I had to get the Chinese sign, or a picture of what I wanted, then they could kind of help me. But they were very helpful and tried their best!
It’s also close to the Beijing Zoo, as well as other tourist attractions. It takes around 10 min to walk to the closest subway station. Then it was kind of easy to get to Forbidden City etc.
The restaurant in front of the hotel is really good! We enjoyed it, though we didn’t totally knew what we were eating (no English speaking staff).

Good hotel, clean and well serviced, Level of english of the staff is quite poor. Could also do with a Fridge! The Fish & Rubiks Cube was a nice touch, Location is OK but only really close to the Zoo as far as attractions, not too far from the Subway Station

Stayed in room 8218 for 5 nights, convenient location : in the vicinity of eateries, fruit stall and convenient store, subway station is about 3 minutes away. Reception staff are alright and we still have fond memory of Lisa. The room is clean, modern and simple and we have everything we need : clean towels everyday, hand soap, shampoo, bath gel and they even provide free toothbrush, toothpaste and comb. Air-cond and wifi worked well and there is also a flat screen tv and hair dryer. Its worth what we have paid for.

Orange hotel is a mid-range, no-frills chain of hotel (think Ibis) in China. It provides basic amenities but is most importantly clean. For the price you pay, I suppose you can’t expect more. The location of this branch is pretty good within a five minutes walk to the nearest subway (our mode of transport in Beijing) and just a 1 minute walk to the yummiest Bao Zhi (dumpling/buns) for breakfast.

Must try the breakfast (at the cross junction).

Stayed here for 7 days with my girl for our vacation. We love this hotel and it is definitely my first choice if I ever visit BJ again.

It is within 3-5 min walk to nearest subway station, within 5-8 stops away from must-go tourism spots! The nearest subway station is Xin Jie Kou (新界口), take exit D, and look for a church. If the church is on your left, go straight and you will definitely see the hotel!

The room itself is very clean! Nicely decorated, not the old looking budget hotels you can expect from other china budget hotel chains. For breakfast, I recommend the porridge restaurant a few shops away - you should be trying typical chinese breakfast and not a sandwich! The food is pretty decent and cheap. A max of USD 3!

You can also try the Chinese restaurant next to the little mini market - decent Chinese food at reasonable price.

Taxi are cheap in Beijing, I paid no more than USD7 to almost everywhere I went! Try to avoid the trains during peak hours, you will be badly squeezed.

Overall, with the price you pay - I have to give highest ratings to them for almost every single area! You won't be dissappointed!

This is a good hotel for a short stay in Beijing. The price is unbeatable and the value is very decent (see below for cons). Its location is very good. Our tour guide told us we couldn't get a better location and he was so right!! There's a subway station (which is very cheap) less than two blocks away. Bus station a block away, local restaurants and shops, banks, a shopping center, etc. and we felt very safe (overall we felt very safe in Beijing) Moving around the city (inside/outside) in taxi wasn't expensive at all as it was right in the middle of everything.
As for the rooms, they aren't huge but definitely bigger than in Tokyo. Rooms are clean and comfortable and you'll get orange in your room everyday.

Cons:
Communication with the hotel staff is VERY difficult as they most of them don't speak any English
Room walls are thin and you can hear a lot of noise

Room Tip: For late arrival, taxi from Capital Airport around 115 CNY. Make sure they take you to this hotel, a...

Stayed for 2 nights. A bargain. Reception very helpful though they did not speak good english. Everything in good working condition, the heat, shower & tv. Room was clean especially the towels, the bed sheets. Bed is comfortable. The added touches, the fish, the cube (to play with) were nice. Location is not bad as take subway Line 4, get off at Xizhimen, take exit A. Once on ground level, turn left, walk straight and then look to your left and can locate the hotel. Just 2-3 minutes walk from station to hotel. Convenient.

Room Tip: Ask for a non-smoking room if necessary. Though my room face the street but did not hear any noise...
