stayed for just a night because of a cancelled flight from the Beijing capital airport. The room was huge with large comfortable bed, LCD, a large sofa, minibar with utensils, and a large executive office tables. The bathroom was likewise large with a separate tub and shower stall (has a built in seat where you can take a seat while taking a hot shower, center of the stall was elevated by a centimeter and water runs off in a moat surrounding the elevation - clever trick). The bathroom has a tub height to ceiling see through window towards the bedroom. A push of a button opens or closes metal blinds if you tend to favor more privacy.

We were able to have dinner but it was one hour before closing. There was indian, chinese, international and seafood sections but the carving station was already closed when we were eating and the drinks section were not being refilled anymore even though the restaurant was not technically closed yet. The staff were not that enthusiastic anymore as one might expect since it was less than one hour till closing but considering the crowne plaza name and that this was supposedly a higher end hotel, attitude and service could still improve.

The staff at the lobby and concierge were very accommodating and efficient though. We were able to check in and check out really fast considering we were 3 buses from an entire flight and we were sure not to miss the early morning bus back to the airport because of repeated reminders from check in and wake up calls. Since most of our staff was already checked in, we needed some supplies. The concierge wrote down the name and address of a large supermarket which also sells clothes has an optical shop nearby.

I understand that it is between the airport and the city center and considering that Beijing is huge, this may not be the ideal place to stay if you are a tourist. If you plan to visit a nearby place or have business to attend in the nearby vicinity, the hotel is a great option.

Great value with very nice, clean and modern rooms. On the 3rd ring for ease of access to business district locations. Tasty breakfast and a very service-oriented staff to take care of whatever you need.

I stayed in this hotel as a part of a business trip. This hotel is marvelous. The architecture and amenities are fantastic. The rooms are extremely clean and very well appointed.

The staff speak good english and the concierge is a plus.

Room is spacious, and good thing is that there are two windows you can open, so the room wont' get too hot and dry by the central aircon.
Internet charge is expensive, and no wifi, only lan cable
The location is the weakest part, the hotel is located next to a highway, with no shops or restaurant nearby. A Parkson department store is being build right next to the hotel, so when the store is open, it will get better.
The nearby subway station is around 15 mins walk.

Aside from location, this hotel is superb. I was very impressed with the receptionist, Mr Tim Tian, at check-in. We checked in at an unconventional time in the morning and most hotels would not be able to accommodate us at that hour. Mr Tian must have seen how tired we were and let us check in earlier then usual.

The room is spacious/clean and bed was very comfortable. The dessert I had from room service was lacking - guess I shouldn't have such high expectations. Buffet breakfast was great - excellent selection and strong coffee.

Would be better value for money if internet was wireless and free. They currently charge RMB 120 for 24 hours.

The hotel is very much out of the way, but Parkson is opening next door and I'm sure the area will be much more happening soon.

Would have given a 5-star rating for service, but their concierge needs improvement. The storage is so far away, it takes them forever to retrieve stored luggage. I guess for the same reason, bus boys are often walking to or in the storage area and is absent from the concierge counter.

The hotel is relatively new, room is spacious, staff very obliging. Buffet was great with a lot of choices. The only thing did not earn this hotel full marks is its location, almost in the middle of building sites, near the major ring road. quite isolated for us who like to wonder around the hotel to soak in the local admosphere and use the public transport. The underground is quite hidden near the hotel. It took a bit of searching to find the entry. However, if you like taxi here and there, then the location is going to be fine.

This is definitely a great hotel. It is very luxurious, and the staff are there to cater for any whim at the drop of a hat. The rooms are large, the beds very comfortable, and the bathroom was really good too with plenty of room, complimentary bathrobes and slippers etc.

The reason this hotel was so good in my view was the food. Fabulous buffet breakfast with everything and anything you could possible want. The restaurant in the evenings was also buffet, but very cleverly had 7 or 8 sections with food from different parts of the world, Italian, Indian, etc. so every palate was catered for, if for example you are not a lover of Chinese food.

Overall, the hotel is excellent. The location was OK, but as we were on a guided trip the location was not an issue, as we were picked up and dropped off every day.
